Chapter 11 - A fall for love

Decided to try give this fic another go due to a few friends demands! Hope you all like it! 

Weeks had passed since the incident in the astronomy tower, and Ginny could only worry and regret, she was so stupid to listen to the Malfoys and their pathetic sob stories, Harry was going to tell her family and she would be thrown into azkaban to rot away for the rest of her life, all because of Aurelia and her stories filling Ginnys mind. 

 She gasped slightly at the sensation coming from her wrist, it wasn't like the pain feeling that Draco got when the dark lord wanted him, but more of a slight tingle, it tickled really. Ginny shook her head knowing it was Aurelia trying to reach out to her, it was like they could communicate with each other with their marks, but Ginny took no notice. Looking to the girls in the corner of her dorm all laughing and gossiping about boys, she scoffed, why couldn't she go back a few months.. Avoid the encounter with Malfoy? Surely she'd be shacked up with someone normal and loving her life. 

"Oi Ginger, get your fat ass over here you dopey cow!" Katie's voice interrupted her thoughts, Ginny's lips curling up slight at the edges. 

"I'll pass kit kat, I need some fresh air.." The girls all looked at Ginny, suspicion wavering in their gazes " I think I ate something bad?" And with that she left the common room, grabbing her coat on the way out. 

She paused a moment, hearing the girls fall into deep gossip about Ginny possibly sneaking off to meet a boy, she laughed quietly, if only they knew the truth.. 

She wandered through the darkened halls, her shadow cast from the flames on the walls dancing around wildly, she smirked, raising her hand towards the nearest flame she simply muttered purple and the flame became that. She laughed and before she knew it she was high above in the astronomy tower. 

It was a place in which she felt a link to her power, she felt strong.. She felt powerful. "Ginny..?" She spun around to face a figure with brilliant green eyes. 

"Potter" the words left her mouth full of venom and hatred "what do you want!?" she was on her feet in moments the room suddenly feeling alive. 

He took a slow step towards her, afraid of the power that she possessed, "Don't go back to calling me that.. It isn't you."  

She laughed a little, shaking her head, "Oh Harry.. You are so foolish, how would you know who I am? When did you ever pay me attention, when did you ever CARE?!" Her temper began to flare, the lights and candles flickering angrily. "GET OUT" 

He bravely took another step closer to her, smirking slightly, "I came here to talk to you for a deal.. Not for friendship." He ignored the blaze of lighting and candles around him, walking closer and closer to the girl before him. 

Ginny eyed him carefully, not backing away, she needed to show him no fear. "What's your offer.." 

By now Harry was in front of her, her breath hitching slightly, "you are to never return to your family.. You cannot let them pay for your mistakes, you fail to leave them then I will alert the Aurors of your mark, taking Aurelia and Malfoy down with you." He had no kindness in his eyes as he turned to walk away. 

"Harry!" Ginnys voice came out as a squeak, she felt honestly sick by the offer but she knew he was right, her family deserved so much and far much more. 

He stopped, his back facing her still, she heard him sigh deeply his head shaking slightly. "I'm doing this because I love you Gin, I always will." He hesitated slightly before moving back into the shadows of the stairs below. 

Her chest pounded at the words, she didn't love him back, so why just why did she feel this way? Running her hands through her fire like hair she sighed, moving to sit on the balcony, her legs hanging off the edge. Suddenly two hands clamped over her waist, causing her to scream out slightly, the attackers smooth voice whispering in her ear. "I hope you had no desire to jump my little lioness.." At his words she melted, her head turning to meet those grey pools of ice in his eyes. 

"Draco.." But that’s all she could get before he roughly slammed his lips down on hers, his hands pulling her so that she straddled his waist. Her hand found his hair, taking it in fistfuls as their lips moved in sync. She moaned slightly as his lips trailed down her neck, suckling and nipping her pleasure spots and in response she ground her hips into his. It took all her will power to shove the boy away forcefully, she took a glace towards him, his top was creased, his hair a wild sexy mess and his lips were slightly swollen, the moon light made him look so vulnerable just like his sister, she shook her head slightly, snapping back into reality. "No." 

As she took  one step back he matched, taking one step forward, his eyes filled with confusion and slight hurt to her simple response "No?" He cocked his head to the side, a frown etching its way across his brow line, "What do you mean no? How can you kiss me like that and say no?" 

She looked to her side looking for some form of escape, "We can't.. we just can't." Draco's gaze fell to the floor, he laughed a little, shaking his head as he did. 

"This some form of sick joke red? You got me! Now come here.." She bit down on her lip, taking another step back, closer to the balcony's edging. "Red come here now.. get away from there!" His tone became demanding, as if she was a small child, and then she knew what she had to do. 

"It isn't a joke, your family ruined me! I have to leave my family now, because your sister is a manipulative bitch! She got inside my head.. just like you did.!" She gasped, seeing the pain strike through Dracos face at her words, she knew she was cruel, but he deserved it! He ruined her after all. She threw her life away for him, and she knew she had to let him go, he was just too painful to be around.. he was too destructive. She was fire and he was ice, the two were never meant to be and she finally realised her mistakes. "Goodbye Draco." 

"Wait.. what do you mean.. Gin please come here.." All she heard was his scream as she threw herself off the tower, she knew she wouldn't die Aurelia had told her about her ability to mask pain and even throw off death, all she had to do was slow down before she hit the ground. The fall took forever, the wind rippling within her hair and robes, all she heard was Dracos screaming, almost ripping her heart in two. She held her arms out, ad immediately felt herself slowing, landing to the shrubs with a light thud. She glanced up, seeing Draco dash away, time for her get away. She conjured up a false body, it was life like enough, she suddenly felt sick at her dead looking self her mind suddenly alert at the various shouts and rapid approach of feet to the scene. She quickly fled to the surrounding trees, concealing herself professionally, her heart melted at the scene before her. Many screamed out at the finding of her body, Draco stood at the back, Aurelia holding onto him for support, he showed no emotion, she knew he couldn’t be weak.. not now. Katie held onto the fake body, her screams and cries were louder than anyone else's Ginny knew she did what she had to do, she vanished herself from the wizarding world in order to protect those who loved her. 

She carefully got to her feet, taking one last glance to the crowd of mourners before disappearing off into the shadows.
