(Five Months Later; July 21,2013)
"D-d-" Ivory stuttered as she studied Chris's face. She's been trying hard to say 'Da'. Being five months, she's an happy and loud baby as in talking gibberish. She loves being around Laden, always throwing things his way and if he throws it back she'll giggle. Laden has taken a liking as being a big brother, he's already protective of her too. Some nights we'll let him feed her or rock her to sleep.
"Mommy can i have some juice?" Laden asked, He gotten taller and now he comes to my waist. He just turned five two months ago, in May as the same for me who turned twenty one and Chris who turned twenty three.
Tearing my eyes from Chris who was smiling like an idiot at Ivory cooing the word 'Dada' at her so she could get it right i grabbed a caparison out of the refrigerator and handed to Laden who thanked me and ran upstairs to his room. Most likely to play the xbox Chris recently brought him.
In the first month of bringing Ivory home, it took time and i mean alot of time to get it through Chris skull that he'll have to give Ivory and Laden both equal attention. He became better at it. Before Ivory was born i told Chris about the late night, waking, crying, changing diapers and etc but i guess he never thought i was being serious and when she was here he looked like he wanted to pull whatever hair he had. As for Laden every since he turned five, he claimed he was a 'big boy' so i couldn't cradle him in my arms anymore which downed on me that my baby was growing up.
"Ivory what are you doin- ow!" Chris voice stiffed, "Shit, princess you can't hurt daddy." he muttered then Ivory giggled. She's already causing Chris pain.
Walking into the living room where they were at, i began picking up toys and putting them up when a hand stopped me. "i can clean babe," Chris said with a smile. I looked back to see Ivory back in her swing trying to reach for the toys hanging above her head. She such a cutie.
"You Sure?" I questioned, he nodded before kissing my lips. Putting the last toy i had in my hand into a toy chest, i went upstairs and started on taking a well needed shower.
**
When i got out the shower and got dressed, Chris was still cleaning and now dancing with it, while Ivory tried to stay awake and laugh at her father. Rubbing her eyes, her head jerk to the side. Pressing my lips in my firm line, i picked her up. She wrapped her arms around my neck then laid her head on my chest.
"You sleepy Mami?" I whispered, she closed her eyes as i rubbed her back. Looking back at Chris who's literally into dancing and cleaning with the vacuum.
"Your Daddy Crazy." i mutter taking her to her room and laying her in her crib. Making sure to turn on her baby monitor i walked out and pushed her bedroom door closed. When i was about to go into the direction of Laden's bedroom, i ran into something-somebody, Chris' chest.
When i looked up at him he had a smirk on his face, raising an confused eyebrow at him, he shrugged before moving out my way. When i made to the door, Chris was right behind me, nearly breathing down my neck. "Sir,back up." I laughed, he kissed my neck and held my waist tightly.
"I'll push forward," he mutter, i felt something hard in my back. "Ooh.." i mumbled in embarrassment. Not wanting this to escalate any further in front of an five year old door which was half way cracked.
I turned around and pecked his lips. "I'll handle you tonight. I have to go get Ivory some formula before she runs out."
"You not gon play me like you did the other night is you?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. I wanted to laugh but i feel bad kinda. I told him earlier this week i was going to let him get 'some' one night when he got home from the studio but i ended up bringing the kids in our room and we watched movies--we'll the movie watched me and Ivory, Laden was all into it. When Chris got home, he was eagered, When Laden saw him he told him to shush and Chris glared at me the whole night.
