PT Barnum was walking, following himself and his father. He knew exactly where they were going, and thanked any power there was, that he'd atleast see Charity as a child. He missed his wife more than he could say, and wondered how, how in God's name, was he ever going to see her again.
"Phineas, come on! We'll miss the train," his father yelled, it snapped the older Barnum out of his thoughts, forcing him to look up. His father had been right, but that hadn't made his younger self move much faster. PT laughed, quietly, despite no one being able to see him.
He boarded the train with his father, and himself, sitting near them, so he could hear what his father was going to say. You knew Philo Barnum was about to talk, based on the way his brow furrowed. You're in for it now, he shook his head, you popped off at the train station, you're lucky he doesn't pummel you into the train floor.
Philo cleared his throat and said, "don't you ever do that me again, do you understand? I'm respected in this community, and I won't have my sorry excuse for a son change that."
Respected? Yeah, they respect the money you've put into their taverns, you drunken sod, the older Barnum thought. His younger counterpart, simply nodded, and then faced away from his father, and out the window.
PT did the same, except his mind was full of worry, how was charity? How were his girls? Did they miss him? Did they even know he was gone? What about Phillip? Or Tally, Rafe, and Violetta? He shook those thoughts away. The girls will take care of their mother, Anne will care for Phillip, and Rafe will take care of Tally, atleast he better, and Vi.... she had Amari, so she was safe.
These thoughts were again interrupted, by a train whistling, signalling all the passengers to get off. He followed, his father, somehow matching pace with his younger self, he was excited. He hadn't seen Charity in what felt like years.
As they neared the house, well mansion, only one thought ran through his mind, as he thought of seeing Charity again, If I could tell her.... she's everything to me....

(I finally updated wooo! Special thanks to the three folks who let me use ocs of theirs (Tally, Rafe, and Vi) and thank you for reading! Until next time, take it easy my humble readers!)
