"Ugh nothing is good enough!" I said dramatically throwing yet another outfit onto my bed, where Leah sat watching me torture myself. she evn seemed to be enjoing watching me self-destruct. "Dude, chill, he wouldn't care if you just showed up in a potato sack. He's just happy to finally have found his imprint." I held up an old shirt that had mesh and was half see through. "On second thought you should wear that, than he and man parts will both be happy." I threw the shirt in her face, earning a luagh from her. I weent back into my closet looking around. "How in the world do you have so much black clothing?" she asked stepping in and lookign around. I shrugged "Where I live before I had the 'bad girl' motif. I only worse dark colors. Mostly black." she rolled her eyes "I realize you are kind of a bad ass, but you don't have to dress in all black to be a badass. it's about attitude and confidence mostly." she pushed me aside and went into the bacck of my closet where a few peices of different colored clothig hung. "Ooooooooo wear this." she held up a red bodycon dress and a jean jacket. "It's not blacck and it's not overly sexy. Perfect for a first date." she stated throwing it at me. "But ............" i started, but she slammed the closet door shut. "I'm not opening this until you try it on! I've got wolf strength so try me." I rolled my eyes and took off my current clothes, giving in to her. When I got the dress and jacket on I went to stand in front of my floor length mirror at the back of my closet. I was pleasantly surprised. "Okay I guess you were right!" I called and she opened the door stepping back in. "Damn! see I told you. Don't underestimate my fashion sense." We both laughed and then went to go do my hair and my makeup.
Jared POV
I sat in front of Sam's big screen tv playing Call of Duty with Paul, Jacob, Embry, Quil, and Seth while Sam helped Emily cook dinner. Emily walked in just as Quil crushed Paul, cheering and rubbing it in Paul's face. Emily walked in wiping her hands off on her apron. "Okay whose staying for dinner so Imake enough. All hands shot up per usual, except for mine. The others looked at me funny and I sighed preparing myself for the questions and comments to follow. "I'm taking Aurora out." I earned a bunch of ooooooohs with different undertones. "So getting ready to seal that deal huh Jare?" Paul stated, Emily smacking him upside the head in response. I shook my head ina annoyance. "Not everyone is a man whore like you Paul." Jacob stated in my defense. "But seriously though I've heard that when you imprint it's like real hard to keep that feeling in. Is it true?" Embry asked curiously. Emily took that as her cue to exit the room. "Not that you idiots need to know, but yeah youu think about it a lot. But I don't want Aurora to think that's the only thing I'm after.................... and now I need to go get ready. See you lot later." I waved goodbye and headed home to get ready for my date.
Aurora POV
Leah finally went home once I was all finished and I waited patiently in my living room, scrolling through the different channels to find something to watch. I however was barely paing attention as I felt the butterflies well up in my belly. "Where are you going all dressed up?" my father's voice rang as he entered through the side door. I Looked over to him as he dropped his bags and hung up his jacket. "Oh Jared and I are going to that new restaurant in Port Angeles." I didn't want to divulge to my father that I was seeing Jared just yet. "Oh okay. Well your mother called me asking how you were today. She said she plans on coming down to visit this next weekend. We will need to make up the guest bedroom for her." I slumped in my chair. Just great, now I was going to have to face her and explain everything. I was pleasantly distracted from the news as the door bell rang. I went to go grab it, my father beating me to it. Jared stood in dark jeans and a light grey button up. He looked beyond handsome. "Well hello there Mr. Cameron, it's been a long time." My father stated shaking Jared's hand. I grabbed my purse and shoved him out the door. "Okay thanks Dad, see you later." I walked him briskly to his truck, him laughing alonng the way. "I'm guessing your pops doesn't know about us yet?" He opened my door helping me up. "Uh not yet. I'll tell him and my mom together." He hoppedd into the drivers side and tilted his head at me. "Your mom?" I nodded "Yep. He just toldd me she is coming to visit next weekend. Yippee!" sarcasm dripping from my words. He started the truck, grabbing a hold of my hand. "You look gorgeous, I like the way you look in colors other than black." I knew he was trying to distracct me from our previous conversation and it was working. "Thank you Jare, you don't look half bad yourself."
"God how do you eat so much?!" I exclaimed watching Jared devour his last bit of steak after eating two appetizers and some bread. He swallowed and looked at me sheepishly. "Oh yeah ti's kinda a wolf thing. I'm always hungry." I chuckled and finished the last few pieces of my salad. "So, you really don't eat meat?" he asked me, wiping the steaksause from his lips. Before I could respond, we were rudely interupptedd by a few girls walking by our table. One of them padded his shoulder saying "Hey there Cameron, looking good" before being seated at a nearby table. I snarled in her direction, my face heating up. "Too bad he can't say the same thing about you. He isn't really into fake and trashy." I couldn't believe I let those words fly out of my mouth, and the girl just rolled her eyes and turned back around. Jared looked at me smirking. "Wow, I don't know whether to be scared of you or insanely attraccted to you after that. Maybe both." he stated handing our waitress back the check with soem cash. I sunk back into my seat. "Sorry I don't know what came over me." and in all honesty I was telling truth. He chuckled "It's the imprinting thing. I feel it too. Probably worse than you, just better at hiding it." I playfuly shoved him and stood up. "So where to next Jare?" He smiled and took my hand. "It's a surprise."
"Jared is this really necessary?" I asked walking through what felt like grass, blidnfolded. "Maybe not but it is funny to see you walking through the grass int hose shoes." I attempted to punch him missing and almost tripping. He caught me and stood me back up. Woah there killer, almsot there................... and stop." He lifted the blindfold from eyes, and i readjusted to the dark. "Isn't this?" He nodded and smiled at me. "Yep, our secret hiding place." Memories came flooding back from my childhood. Jared, George, and I had found this little cliff over the ocean right before George's accident. I walked further, noticing a small protabel lamp sitting on top of a blanket a few feet from the edge. I could feel the ocean breeze washing over my body and it gave me a sense of peace. "I know we haven't been here since George, but I figured we should make it our place again. I hope it doesn't upset you." I felt a few tears prick my eyes, only they weren't so much sad as they were emotional. "It's perfect." I went and sat on the blanket, Jared following and sitting down behind me, pulling me into his chest. "I miss him Jare." I said cutting the silencce that had surrounded us. He pulled my hair from my face. "I do too Rora. But he's not gone. I bet you he's looking down on you right now." I leant my head into the crook of his neck. "He'd probably beat my ass for being so wild." Jared laughed aloud. "Well he would beat mine for finally admitting to you that I liked you, even when he told me you were his sister and that would be so weird." I twisted my position so I could see his face. "You liked me?" I asked. He nodded "You say it like it's hard to believe. Who wouldn't like you? I always have. Just now it's a lot more."
