Quick update? I KNOW RIGHT?!
We wait immpatiently for about a little under an hour, before Blaze is down from the high of heroin. I'm so terrified for my best friend. I kiss his cheek and his glazed droopy eyes connect with mine, before Juliana pulls him into a tight hug. I'm so scared of what's going to happen to all of us, that I'm in a weird kind of daze as we all leave the room and walk down the hallway. Jace takes my hand to keep me with him, probably realizing how spaced off I am. I can't help it. It's like I'm waiting to be murdered with my group of friends and nothing could make this night better, until we make it into the living room and notice a lot of people are gone.
We all can't help but feel confused and frightened when we see blue and red cop car lights out front, knowing we're all getting caught for drugs and alcohol with minors, as we start to head toward the back. Until I stop.
"No, guys. . ." I suddenly exclaim, everyone turning to stare at me. "I have a really weird feeling..."
"Mickey, come on." Jace's voice is deep and still upset.
"TESSA?" Spencer questions as we notice her walking into the room. "I told you to--"
"Oh shut up. I came in from around back. Nobody's there. Let's go..." She starts to say.
"Yeah. We need to get out of here," Spencer softly lets out as I glare at them and turn around. I walk towards the front door and they all call after me as I push past some kids and make my way by them. I stare cautiously outside and hear screaming from a guy.
"LET ME THE FUCK GO," A guy is yelling, and swearing, as suddenly my heart drops.
"Mickey wait up," Blaze calls from behind me, as I dart down the steps through the fog machine smoke. "Mickey!"
BROCK. BROCK. BROCK. BROCK. BROCK.
Suddenly he looks over in our direction and punches a cop in the face, darting over to us as I scream in horror, until a group of cops tackle him to the ground.
"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU GUYS," He threatens us, as I turn to catch my friends all standing at my sides. "REAL TALK, YOU'RE ALL COMING DOWN WITH ME!"
"Kick rocks, you fucking PRICK," Jace shouts out at him, as I break down into tears.
"Hey, it's alright," Tessa whispers from beside me, putting Brock in handcuffs as my friend pulls me into a tight hug. "We're okay now."
"B-b-ut Janel!" Juliana gasps in complete fear, as I suddenly look in the back of a cop car and realize it's her.
"Oh my god," I anxiously and happily mutter, widely smiling. "We are okay..."
And my best friends all look to the cop car and notice Janel sitting inside, along with Brock getting up in handcuffs, several police men throwing him into the backseat. It isn't long before the sirons are turned on and they drive away, as we all cautiously stare at one another.
We suddenly hug each other like crazy, realizing this might not be the worst night afterall.
I smile up at Jace and tightly hug him, expecting a kiss as he pulls away when I don't even expect it at all. "What's the matter?" I softly ask him, as he looks away from my eyes and shakes his head.
"I'm so sorry I put you all in danger," he mumbles as I hold my breath. "I can't be doing this to you."
"But it wasn't your fault. None of this shit was," I try to argue with him as he takes my face between his hands and stares deeply into my eyes.
"I can't be with you anymore," he softly whispers, as my heart breaks. "I'm sorry, Michelle. Please know I'm doing this for your own good."
"You can be out of the gang now!" I shout at him in excitement, as he turns around and walks toward the street. I notice a bunch of groups of other kids staring at me. "JACE! Please!"
But he says nothing. He's on his way to being gone. . . And I just stand as still as can be and stare after him in nothing but shock.
"Party at my crib, or what?" Blaze shouts in excitement from behind me as I stare down at the ground before closing my eyes. "Oh, babe you don't have to drink or anything."
"After the shit that just happened to us," she rushes out in laughter. "I'm going to be doing a lot fucking more than that."
"You good, Blaze?" Spencers voice speaks up.
"Yeah. I'm still rushing, so I need more drugs. Let's get the fuck in my car and have some goddamn fun for the rest of the night!"
And they all walk past me as I slowly and silently follow behind them.
*
"I cannot believe your ma has left for the weekend, leaving you an empty house," Spencer lets out, chuckling afterwards. "Especially with a huge crib like this."
"It's not huge," Blaze retorts. "I don't know what you're on."
"Ecstacy," he laughs, widely smiling. "You were the one who passed them around."
"After the smack I had to keep high, or I would have came way down." Blaze glances down at the cigarette between this fingers before raising his eyes to Julie. "And I wouldn't want to be that way in front of you, baby."
"Would you like to tell them what you said to me in the closet?" She suddenly asks, as he stares silently at her, almost trying to tell her something without having to speak. "Fine, nevermind. Sorry."
"You don't have to be sorry for anything Julie."
"Arite, I fucking give the fuck up." We all look over to Spencer to catch him jumping back onto the chair and kicking his shoes up on the table beside the messed up blunt.
"You suck, bro." Blaze smirks before leaning forward to the table and beginning to roll the blunt himself since he's such a master at it.
"Suck a fat one!"
"Let's play the question game," Tessa lets out with a grin overtaking her face, before glancing over at my annoyed face. "Why do you look so pissed, Mick?"
I glare at her through narrowed eyes, suddenly getting the first emotion from the pill. Sighing, I shake my head. "I'm just really sad over what happened with me and Jace. I don't know why he left like that. I haven't done anything to him. He's nothing but a heartless prick."
"He's got a lot of shit on my mind right now," Spencer tries to tell me.
"Like I don't know that already," I mutter in sadness.
"His friend died because of me and the girl he liked and her friends almost got killed because of his gang," he quickly states, acting like he said it with ease and like it didn't bother him.
"This whole thing was your fault to begin with," Tessa whispers as everyone stares at her, until she slightly shrugs and glances to Spence. "I'm sorry."
"Let's start with another question," Blaze speaks up, holding up the fat nicely rolled blunt, and lighting it. He takes a long hit before blowing it up towards the ceiling. "Who wants to smoke this lovely motherfucker with me?"
