Then Jake comes in with Bella, Seth, and another guy.
They stop when they see the boy staring at me.
Then Bella sees me and stops laughing.
"What is the baby doing here?" She snaps. This is different than when I saw her last.
She looks healthier and happier.
"I'm leaving. Oh, and Bella," I turn to look at her as I stand in the doorway, "You might want to tell Charlie that you are getting better, because he is going to send you to a mental hospital soon if you don't stop acting like someone died." I tell her, leaving, walking to Billy's house. I grab my headphones and tablet from Bella's truck and start walking home, going the long way.
When I get home, it is dark outside. I immediately grab a lunchable to eat and a sippy cup, filling it with Apple juice and going upstairs to my room. I carefully make my sandwich and then I take a drink from my pink Minnie Mouse sippy cup.

Then I hear a knock on my door. It is Charlie. He hands me an envelope. I look at it, questioningly (my word of the day, thank you very much).
"My mother, Nana, wants to see you, and only you." He's says through his teeth.
I open up my envelope and read it. It is in small words, so I understand it.
"When can I go see Nana?" I ask Charlie .
"Tomorrow. She is sending a car to pick you up." He says, leaving.
I smile and hear someone knocking at my window. I put my sippy cup away and go to the window, carefully opening it.
The boy who called me his imprint comes in and I step back.
"Who are you?" I ask him.
"I'm Embry. You are?" He asks.
"Mercy Swan. " I blush when he kissed my hand.
"Beautiful." He whispers, making me flush deeper.
"What are you doing here, Embry?" I say his name carefully to make sure I say it right.
"Sam sent me to make sure that you are okay after what Leah did to you." He says, looking angry.
"What did Lele do?" I ask him, confused.
He looks at me weirdly.
"Mercy, will you come with me?" He asks.
I look past him, out the window.
"It is dark out. I can't go out when it is dark out. The monsters will get me." I tell him. He slightly smiles.
"Can I stay with you tonight?" He asks.
"Don't forget your pajamas. " I giggle as he chuckles.
I go to my closet and find a big shirt and my big girl underwear for bedtime, and I close the door, managing to unbutton my jeans before I pull them down and take my used undies off and put them in my basket.
Then I put my new undies on and try to take off my button up shirt, getting halfway through before I get to the sticky button.
"Mercy, are you okay in there?" I hear Embry ask from the door.
"I need some help." I tell him, turning around as he walks in, closing the door behind him.
Then I turn around and he stared for a minutes before coughing and looking me in the eyes.
"What do you need help with?" He asks.
"It won't come undone." I frown at the button, hoping it will undo itself. It doesn't. He comes over and helps me, undoing all of the buttons for me.
Then I look up at him and he watched me as I take off my bra and put on my shirt, walking past him to go to my bed. He follows me and lays down next to me. After a while, I grab my teddy bear, and snuggle into his chest, falling asleep quickly.
