Chapter Two

Entering her modest apartment Izzy picked up her yipping dog Spud giving him hugs and kisses. Noticing one of her favorite take out menus she took a mental note order some japchae for dinner. " Ssh Spud I'm gonna feed you." Izzy said to her tiny pomeranian as she pulled out the dog food.

After feeding her dog she hopped in the shower and put on her yoga pants and tank top. Walking out of her room she noticed her phone was ringing she picked it up without looking at the display, a fact she sorely regretted not a second later.

" Sweetheart I'm glad you picked up I was calling to tell you I booked a flight to come see you." Izzy's mom Torina said over the phone.

" Mom why didn't you ask me whether you could come over or not? You do realize I cannot take anytime off. My boss watches my every move!" Izzy said frustrated.

" Izzy you're the one who decided to move all the way to South Korea. I can do what I want, you're my child I don't need to ask you permission for a damn thing!" Torina replied while muttering curses and praying simultaneously. Izzy just rolled her eyes and told her " Well ma if you come I hope you've brought a Korean dictionary because you're on your own."

" You know what Izzy I brought you into this world and you know better than anyone I will take you out. I'll talk to you after you have your life together."Torina said irritated and a little hurt her daughter didn't seem to want her there.

" Look ma I'm sorry I just...."

"Mmmhm, bye." Torina clicked off.

Feeling a little ashamed Izzy got Spud's leash and hooked him up and walked him outside.

Coming back toward her house she ran into a solid figure. Looking up she cursed her bad luck it was Jin Woo looking all sweaty and sexy in her mind she was singing Rain's 30sexy.

" Uh hello..? Izzy did you hear me?" Jin Woo asked looking concerned and slightly smug that she seemed to have noticed his six pack.

Jolting back into reality Izzy steeled herself " Pardon me I didn't hear you would mind repeating that?" she said going into her professional voice. Jin Woo was upset she seemed to be going into her work shell.

" I asked if you would join me for a bubble tea, you can bring your dog if you want." At that he slightly propelled her toward the shop he was talking about while she tried to think of an excuse not to go.

He honestly knew it was a bad idea to spend any time with her. Yet he was drawn to her, be it her golden brown skin or her eyes he didn't know. Either way he was determined to get what he wanted, which at the moment was time with her.

Before she knew what hit her they were in the cafe with him ordering her a latte in his deep voice, seeing the girl behind the counter swoon slightly. Clearing her throat " Sorry to interrupt but I have things to do and watching you seduce a cafe worker is not on my list." She said slightly irritated.

Realising he was screwing up at hid attempts to do anything other than piss Izzy off he grabbed their order from the girl and began to make his way to a table. " Sorry Izzy I certainly had no intention of wasting your time." He said not knowing how to fix the awkward silence he'd accidentally instigated.

"Look Jin Woo could you tell me why we're here I'd like to go on with my evening soon." Izzy said slightly defensive and irritated that she felt secretly flustered.

For all intents and purposes though Jin Woo looked painfully hot with his workout clothes on hinting at his six pack.

" Look Izzy I wanted to iron out some details that I forgot while we were at the office-"

" You mean while you browbeat me into attending a function that was mandatory but unspoken?" Izzy interrupted.

" Well yes I just needed to let you know that you will be picked up in the company car that night since you're high up in the company." Jin Woo said miffed that she interrupted him.

" And you couldn't have just text me the details instead of dragging me in here?" Izzy said while getting up pulling Spud along with her.

"Just be there hmm? Also I pulled you in here because I knew you'd hate it. Have a good evening Izzy see you tomorrow night.'' Jin Woo said as he walked her to the door.

The nerve that man showed never ceased to both amaze and piss her off. Izzy thought as she entered her apartment building thinking on what dress to wear.

Upon entering her apartment Izzy set about getting herself ready for the upcoming day. Muttering to herself on why she had the worst luck with bosses ever, she went to bed.

Walking into work the next morning with the strongest cup of coffee she could find, Izzy noticed her office door was open.

" Ma'am a man named Jackson Carter is in your office he said he was your boyfriend." Soo Jin said with a dreamy look in her eye.

"Alright Soo Jin.....you might want to wipe the drool off your face."Izzy said as she entered her office.

"I see my lovely face didn't go unnoticed. So Izzy tell me....why in hell you decided to move to Korea of all places?" Jackson said nonchalantly from behind Izzy's desk.

" For the same reason you moved to London for two years, why are you here?"
