Percy, Annabeth and Nico walked into their classroom determined to help the students. Their first class of the day walked in, the seventh years.
" Hello and welcome back. You all already know me, And Annabeth, but we have a new addition to the team, Nico!" Percy started off.
Nico waved the attention over to himself as he stepped forward. "Now as I'm directing the lesson, please collect your weapons that were assigned to you a long ways back." He said.
Everyone stood up and got their weapons, some having collected cobwebs and dust.
" We're going to just clean them off first. I have a tub of water Percy got for us. Just come up and wash off all the dust and cobwebs. How about we start with the front row?" He added.
Row by row everyone cleaned and dried off their weapons without any trouble.
" Ok now.. " he began. Nico walked off and returned with two or three dozen skeletons from the Underworld that Hades permitted him to use. " Each of you will fight these skeletons that I have been- that I enchanted to fight. It's just to warm you up. Um.. Longbottom, come up and fight first?"
Neville paled but nodding, grabbing his sword and walking up. It was made of Celestial Bronze, one of the most common among the students.
" Alright, these skeletons are not aiming to mime you or kill you, but just merely challenge your rusty skills." Nico explained
They all nodded and watched as Neville stood guard and was not easily disarmed, but was in the end. Some people laughed at his easy defeat and Neville sulked around to his chair. Nico looked over the crowd and settle at the person making the jokes.
" PARKINSON!" He barked. " You're up." He added.
She smirked and walked up and Nico looked at her with disgust. She walked up to the skeleton and it approached her and jabbed, disarming her on its first move.
" Now then. Here's a lesson. YOURE ALL OUT OF PRACTICE. Doesn't give you the right to go out and tease another student when you are in a worse condition. Longbottom managed to block some jabs, you just flat out failed." Nico sighed.
Neville smiled as the class was silenced. Nico was someone who didn't approve of any laughing, teasing or bragging and they would have to adjust.
Everyone else continued, a few managing to last long.
" And now, me and oh uh.. Percy shall duel, show you how you do it." Nico said.
They both grabbed their swords, and after Nico sent the skeletons away they started in their duel position. Annabeth watched in amusement, placing her own mental bet.
The students sat on the edges of their seats, Neville with a quill and parchment all ready to go.
Nico and Percy nodded and they began jabbing and attempting to disarm each other. This continued for a minute before they began the offensive moves, trying to actually do damage, without dealing it. While Nico displayed offensive moves, Percy displayed defensive moves, and vice versa.
The duel ended with the class being dismissed and Percy and Nico gasping for breath, grabbing their water containers.
" If I could've shadow traveled you would've been begging for mercy." Nico teases.
" You sure put the smack down on the tolerance." Annabeth said.
" Couldn't let Neville get bullied when they were in worse shape. Had to make him feel better so I had Parkingson come up, knowing she'd fail." Nico shrugged.
" Well we've got a break since we don't teach any of the first through third years." Percy said.
" Good, I'm going to bed. Wake me up when we have class if need be." Nico said.
He shadow traveled away and Percy and Annabeth shrugged.
They set it up for the fifth years, a class they would have to assign weapons to and introduce themselves.
Sighing Percy sat on the table, put him hands on his face and leaning back groaning.
" How'd you sleep SeaWeed?"
" Terribly. Nightmares wandered in like always. " Percy sighed.
" Is it about it?"
Percy and Annabeth usually avoided the touchy subject of their time you-know-where. It was a place they never wanted to return to and wanted to forget.
" Yea." Percy admitted. " Been going on since the war. Thinking that something will happen and the Romans will turn on us."
" They wouldn't. They love our culture so much they copied it. They'd never turn on us." Annabeth smirked.
Percy chuckled and nodded before walking away to a desk, sitting down. He sighed before looking out. " I'm tempted to go swimming.."
" I'm tempted to say yes." Annabeth scoffed walking over. " We've got class in about an hour, how about we do something else?"
" Like What."
" Guard the corridors?"
" Oh yea."
They got up and left, grabbing their weapons on their way out. They saw students rushing to classes, students lost and some teachers to help them. Eventually they went and to wake up Nico, only to find him waiting.
" Slow pokes.." he grumbled.
The next class of fifth year's began with Annabeth teaching the lesson of introductions.
