On February 13th of 2013 I was visited by several men with black suits on Brenda's job. They said they were called Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the first thing they asked was for my ID or passport. I told the officers that I didn’t have anything that can describe my identity at the moment. That’s when the officers started to be more aggressive with me and showed me some pictures.
"Then explain us how the hell you are able to be in the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, China, Russia with no ID and no records of any flight?" Immediately one of the men handcuffed me and said I had the rights to remain in silence and more questions were going to be asked to me at their office. Brenda, saw what was going on and tried to help me, but the officers prevented Brenda to do anything. One of the officers asked her if she knew me and she affirmed that I was her friend. Therefore, they also took her with them, but placed in different cars.
In the interrogation room, I sat there by myself for over twenty minutes. I started to feel a bit upset because Brenda was dragged into this along with me. I didn’t know what to say neither was I able to plan my answers because I really didn’t have anything to hide. A few minutes later two men came into the room and asked me the following questions,
Officer 1:"Allan, right? Well, I need to ask you several things. For example, do you care to explain us where you lived before?"
Allan: "I lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin sir, with a father called Allen and a mother called Jenna."
Officer 2: "very good, so tells us Allan. How do you travel across different countries, what types of connection do you have that helps leave and come whenever you please without leaving any identical records of your flights or passport, because it turns out you never requested a passport never in your life neither you have requested your ID ever since you turned eighteen!" The men threw a folder that contained all the records of me, but the folder was mostly empty
Officer 1: "you see that folder? That folder should be filled with all types of documents that should describe the things you have done to immigrate to every country you have been. NSA has been keeping tracks on you because when you were in the age of 16-17 you have been sighted through different Districts and Interpol has been interested in you since you have been spotted in Hong Kong, Moscow, London and several capital cities around the country."
Officer 2: "So tell us, with who are you working with or else...”
Allan: what do you mean or else? I have not done anything wrong and I don’t work with anyone
Officer 2: "Kid, I don’t think you understand exactly what we can do even though you have not done anything wrong in this country, but let me tell you we can set you up for over 10 years of federal prison for illegal trespass, and a suspect for a possible terrorist. After all what perfect description of a terrorist who's got a mother who committed suicide after her son was gone and your father had a long record of a child diligent who serve on the streets, so ever since you were gone from Wisconsin you have had nothing else to lose."
Officer 1: "Do you work with the Mossad, ISI, Ministry of State Security or someone hired you for a job because right now the countries you have visited are looking for an answer?"
Allan: "......Did you say that my mother committed suicide?"Suddenly an awkward silence surrounded the room and the men looked at me very suspiciously.
Officer 1: "you didn’t know that your mother committed suicide?"
Allan: "Ever since I left my hometown, I never went back...”
Officer 1: "I see, well to inform you. Your mother reported you lost on July 25th of 2010. Local police did whatever they could and the FBI was also participating in the search. Whatever might have happened between your family, your mother really loved you. She was really devastated that no one was able to find you and supposedly we have in records that before your mother committed suicide. She had an argument with your father. Sadly, no one knew what was it about, but whatever it was. It pretty much overwhelmed your mother."
Officer 2: "Allan, believe it or not we really want to help you, but you need to understand that you are suspect for the international relations and we are the one that needs to clean the mess because you are an American Citizen."
Officer 1: "ever since you departed from your hometown, the FBI were lucky enough to have some of the NSA agents that watched the news when you were lost and that same person spotted you in Texas. From that moment, since the day you were spotted by the NSA the FBI had the jurisdiction to follow up your case and order Metro police to visit the area you were last spotted, but every time the local cops arrived you were not around the city anymore. The case ended when you turned 18 because you no longer fed into the minor age category and no matter where you were the agency had to understand it was your decision to leave Wisconsin, but now we have you in custody for international affairs and if you don’t have a good defense that can justify your trespassing then by the law we'll have the rights to keep you under Federal prison, so we are going to leave you alone for a while and give you some time to think about your defense, however remember that everything you say will be used against you or in your favor so make it count..."
Both officers left the room, and I was left alone shaking like an unstable bridge and aware of my surroundings like a fly. I covered my face to hide the transparency of my guilt and the shame for leaving my mother alone. I felt like if I was held responsible for my mother's death because at least I was the only one who stood against my father. I really didn’t think I was that needed for my mother neither I didn’t think that she would make an extensive search to find me. However, I started to disappear once again. This time I couldn’t understand what I was feeling, if it was a sense of relief or shame, all I was able to understand that I had a mixture of both. When I vanished the handcuff were left in the interrogation room while surprisingly the person that was observing me from the other room noticed how I vanished. When the officers came to the room and notice I was not around, they started to yell between each other about what happened. The person that saw me disappear said exactly what he saw, but the officers were very skeptical of what happened until they saw the video that recorded everything. Immediately, they went after Brenda to ask her how we met and does she know how I disappeared.
Brenda told them that I tend to teleport through different countries for unknown reasons, but they still couldn’t buy the story. Thankfully, Brenda told the officers that she met me like an ordinary stranger, but we didn’t know each other very well. The officer released Brenda, but with a powerful warning.
"If we ever find out that you are lying to us about anything! Even from the simplest thing, I promise you that we will throw every federal sentence we can find to condemn you for a life time federal prison, understood?"
However, When I left i was really surprised how the agents rated me as a terrorist. Whatever may be the reason behind their claim most likely they are just trying to find an excuse to cover up for a story. All I hope is that I don't become a tool for a deceitful plan they may have.
