A wail was heard in the night as a baby cried. A newborn child had entered the world in the handmedown shack of Sally Jackson as her best friend and sister helped her deliver the child of a god. Jasmine her best friend since they were children had always been there for her when she needed her.
"I hope we can keep him safe for the time being but, I realize how much danger my son will be in as he grows older. I feel as if I should prepare him, but how?" sally thought for the first time since the childs newborn weeps filled the room her mind strangely blank ,and afraid not knowing if they will survive the coming years. I need to survive was her last thought as she drifted into the a deep sleep.

6 YEARS LATER
A heart beat was all the boy could hear as he ran. His blood pumping so quickly and precisely that he could feel nothing else, The brush scratching his skin as wind buffeted him from the side, the fresh dew soaking his pants as he ran.all he remembers is the look on his mothers face as an arrow protruded from her chest her mouth curled it to a fierce cry of a warrior. He knew his mother died to save him and he hated it. Perseus didn't know how or even when but he would make them pay. He would become powerful enough to take on anything that dared harm his family and friends again, he vowed a silent vow as Thunder shook the earth to the very core at just the strength promised behind his words promised pain of an eternity . The world had just made its most powerful destroyer into exactly what every monster feared in a demigod and what the gods would soon realize as there only hope of restoring any balance in the world.

Perseus pushed his advantage as a demigod to the limits. Always testing his powers and strength  the first year was hard on the young demigod. Alas his mother had taught him enough to survive the world of myths and legends. not always could he win, but he always knew he had to survive.

Percy ran as quickly as he could down the streets, growing up in Manhattan had its perks he always knew how to hide and evade the creatures he only remembered in stories. Percy knew he would need to learn to fight but something kept bothering him he remembered fighting the strange dogs and his knife passing right through them. The only thing saving him is his low strike coming to close punching the already angry creature. Percy had been running ever since only stopping to sleep and never for to long.
Days seemed to shift into weeks as Perseus hid among the homeless as the scent covered his even when a few close calls occurred. One night as Perseus hid near a fire to warm himself from the chill of the night a small child approached him, she looked nearly as starved as he did
Her stomach grumbling in complaint as she searched another dumpster for food near the fire. using the dim light to try and find even the smallest morsels to keep the verges of death at bay.
Starvation being at the forefront on Perseus's mind an inviting smell luring him to a nearby fire  where a small girl was eating a meal to die for much less to a young boy who could only find scraps of spoiled food to keep him alive.
