Blizzards POV
After a long while of walking, Lillian and I decided to set up camp by these odd trees we found. Their branches arched and looked almost like they were reaching for something distant, something so far out of reach all they could do was wish. I sat alone on a small log next to the campfire Lillian made, it was late at night so I only expected she'd be asleep. I turned my head towards the tents we set up and saw Lillian fast asleep, although she looked uneasy almost as if in pain. I wished to wake her but I had my own demons- my own devil to deal with...
??? POV
I see them. They're just sitting. Their loneliness captures me.
What about your loneliness? Your unloved.
Who says that? You know they know we're watching right?
Don't change the subject. Your so lonely it kills you, I'm right aren't I?
Your one to talk... Who loves you?
There's just one big difference between us. I. Can't. Die.Blizzards POV
I looked around me at the perilous darkness that seemed to close in as the fire dimmed. Something was off, I turned to Lillian and she was still asleep and she still looked uneasy... I stood up and surveyed the area around me that wasn't devoured by the darkness. After seeing that no one was around I approached Lillian, she shifted around in her sleep clearly in some kind of nightmare. I knelt down next to her and reached my open hand towards her arm, I grabbed her arm and looked at her face, "Lillian? Lillian! Wake up." I could not see any of her face as it was covered by the darkness of her cloak. I waited a couple seconds and still held her arm, suddenly she jerked up and just about hit me in the face. Lillian began to pant as if she just ran a marathon, I stared at her face, she turned to me and said, "W-Were you watching me sleep?" My expression hadn't changed it was blank, "No. You just seemed to be having a nightmare. What happened?" Lillian stared at me almost as if she were studying my body language and my expression. Lillian suddenly gave a small smile which was the only thing I could see on her face as of now, "It was nothing!" I sighed and looked towards the fire. I was contemplating giving her a hug, I smiled as I thought about it, I mean just to comfort her right? There's no other meaning? Of course not! I turned back towards her and noticed she was staring down at the ground with shocked eyes, "Hey that's no way to look!" I smiled and wrapped my arms around her. All I heard was, "AGH! Hey what's this for! A second ago you were giving me the blankest stare I've ever seen!" and then a defiant, "Hmph!" As she turned her head away and let me hug her. I just kept smiling, "So? A second ago you were just terrified! But you don't seem as terrified anymore!" I let go of her and just tilted my head to see what she'd answer with, "Well I only let you do that cause... I missed you! That's why I let you do that." She crossed her arms and was still turned away. I laughed a little bit at that. Then I came to my senses, don't get attached. Don't let your work be hindered. "So... What happened, in the nightmare I mean." I rubbed the back of my neck a little then brought all my attention towards Lillian, "I told you! It was nothing!" She responded turning to me and smiling. I just backed up and walked back to the fire, "Fine if you won't tell me just get some rest." I stared at the fire and sat down against the log in front of the fire. Lillian walked out of her tent and sat down next to me, "I don't know if I'll be able to fall asleep." I turned and looked at her, she was right up next to me. I grabbed her hand, "At least try first." I turned back to the fire and kept a good grip on her hand, "Fine." Lillian said before closing her eyes and leaning on my shoulder.
