After defeating all of the enemies on the train, the group exited the train and immediately noticed the snow beginning to fall.
"You guys need to hurry. Leave the rest to us," Julian said as they rounded the side of the building.
"Are you sure, you can handle them?"
Julian chuckled, "You doubt me?"
Kail hesitated and then shook his head, "Be careful. Let's go, Nyx," he said as he backed away from the others and shifted into his full dragon form.
Nyx immediately climbed onto his neck and tightly held on to his spikes as he flapped his massive wings, flying fast into the dark sky.
"Don't let them get away! Kill them! Kill all of them!" A female voice yelled.
Suddenly, Nyx heard the deep, dark chuckle of an all too familiar voice getting closer from behind them.
Nyx, hold on tight! Kail shouted telepathically.
"Okay!" She said, pressing against him as tightly as possible.
"Nyx? What's going on? Why are you running away from me, baby?" Ayden said in a sad tone.
Nyx's heart sank into her stomach. She was about to glance back, but with a deep roar from Kail, she snapped out of it, "You are not Ayden."
He chuckled again, "You're wrong, my little Dhampyr."
In a split second Ayden was flying beside them. He reached a clawed hand out toward her but Kail immediately dodged him. Pulling his wings against him, he quickly dove down, causing Nyx to slip, "Kail!" she yelled as she clung to a spike on his side.
Hold on! he told her telepathically.
"I'm trying!" she shouted, trying to climb back up.
Ayden's laughter filled the air as he chased after them, "Just let go, I'll catch you."
Yeah, right. Nyx thought to herself as she clung for her life to Kail's spikes.
Kail suddenly spread his wings and spun around, causing Nyx to flip back on to his back. She immediately started the climb back to her spot on his neck.
"Aww, no fun, baby." Ayden said as he made his way back to their side, "Where do you think you're going?"
It looks like we have no choice, Nyx. If he follows us, Ali will not be safe. We'll have to take him out...
"I was afraid you'd say that..." she said, dodging another of Ayden's attempts to grab her.
If you use your powers, you can take him out without killing him.
"I know that, Kail." She grumbled as she reached for her dagger, "Drop me off down in that vacant parking lot."
Quickly, with Ayden following close behind, Kail dove down again, spreading open his wings before landing in the parking lot with a hard thud, "We don't know if we were followed so you need to go back up. If the rider followed us, you won't be safe on the ground."
