Ariel POV:
Cake, invitations, dress fitting, and room decorations. I am going crazy planning my birthday party.
Simon already booked the place for my birthday but he wanted me to do all the other stuff. Since were in California I decided to stay with Aunt Karen and let the boys finish the tour themselves without me.
"How about that pink dress?" She says looking at the computer. I look at the dress and it made me want to gag.
"Aunt Karen that dress color reminds me of Peptol bismol."
She rolls her eyes and continues to scroll down and look for more dress ideas.
Ding dong.... ding dong...
"Are you expecting anybody?" Aunt Karen asks me.
"No." I tell her looking up from the book I was reading.
" I wonder who that would be." Aunt Karen gets up from her seat and goes to answer the door.
I watch her open the door and see Dani, Eleanor and Emily. I run as fast as I could and give them a bone crushing hug.
"What are you three doing here?"
"Well we all finished our fashion shows and dance recitals for this year. Plus Simon gave us a call and told us to help you plan your birthday. He told us that your head is about to explode." Emily tells me.
I turn to Aunt Karen and she was smiling like a lunatic. "Did you know that they were coming?"
"Of course I did. You know I couldn't throw a party if my life depended on it. All four of you could stay at the guest room. It's big enough for all of you girls plus there is a pull out bed there as well." She tells us.
I help the girls with their bags and show them to the guest bedroom. We put all their bags at the side and laid on my bed.
"So are you excited about your birthday? I'm sure it will be a Cinderella moment." Eleanor dreamily says to me.
"Yah I am actually. At first I wasn't so sure about this whole big party celebration. But Simon wanted to plan it so I let him." I explain to the girls.
"Well to be honest Simon did want to plan everything and he still is. But he didn't know where to start that's why he called us 3." Dani told me.
"We will go with you to meet the dress designer, do the cake tasting, check out the room for your party and also pick out your invitations. But Simon wants to choose the design for the cake and I will decorate the ballroom." Eleanor excitedly says to me.
"So I don't get to see how the ballroom will get set up or see how my cake will look like?" I say it more like a question.
"Bingo. But don't worry I know your taste. It will be totally you." Eleanor reassures me.
My phone beeps signaling that I got a text message from someone. When I open the message I saw that it was from Simon.

....
We make it to the invitation place. All the girls and I look around the store. There were so many to choose from.
A few minutes later, Simon came in the store.
"Welcome to my store. How can I help you?" A woman with brown hair, petite, and wearing vintage glasses comes towards us.
"Well we heard you do the best invitations in town and my daughter is turning 19." Simon says to her . Putting his hands on my shoulders.
She claps her hands with joy and excitement. "How wonderful. Is there any specific theme you would want on these invitations?" She asks bringing out binders and putting them on the table.
The girls starts looking through them and so does Simon.
What theme would I want for my birthday? Hmmm...
Past:
"Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! Wake up! You're going to miss the shooting stars tonight." I shake her lightly. Her eyes slowly open and gives me a warm smile. "Do you think we will see a shooting star tonight?" She asks me.
"I hope so. I always wanted to see one like in the movies. So I can make a wish." I say to her with full of hope in eyes.
"What does my baby girl want to wish for?" My mom curiously asks me.
"If a shooting star passes by tonight I will wish for daddy to come back to us. That he will never leave us and the three of us will live happily ever after." I tell her truthfully looking at the night sky.
Please let there be a shooting star. I want my daddy back.
————————
"I want my theme to be A Night Under the Stars." I tell her.
"That's a wonderful choice. Let's see I'm sure I have some star invitations here somewhere." She skims through the binder full of invitations.
She pulls out some invitations that had star designs on them.
"Here are some designs that should go with your theme." She lays them on the table.
There were at least 10 cards laid out. The girls, Simon and I look at them.
"Which one do you like Ariel?" Simon asks me.
"I actually like this one." I point out the simplest one. There were tiny stars decorated on the top of the invitation and one big star. It reminded me of a shooting star. The wording was in beautiful cursive writing.
"Okay. How many would you need? What is the time of your event and where? What is the date?" The lady asks me.
"It will be on Saturday, December 30th. It will be at the Elizabeth's Golden Palace and the event will start at 6:30pm exactly. We need at least 300 invitations." Simon tells her as she writes all the information down.
300 invitations! That is so many.
"Also my name is Ariel Cowell and they all have to RSVP by the 20th of December." I added.
"Okay I will get started on those invitations right away. They should be ready by next week." She tells me.
Simon pays for the invitations and we all leave the shop.
