I was going through the company's reports.
I gaped my mouth so many times.
The figures were in billions and trillions!!
I never knew that Luiz and Caroline are gazillionaires!!
Somebody knocked the door.
"Please come in.", said Caroline.
With a very professional smile, Maryam opened the door.
So, she is continuing to work here.
"Good morning mam! These are the reports of German project.", she said.
"You have finished them already?", Caroline asked.
"Yes mam.", she said with a bright face.
Caroline glanced at the reports.
Meanwhile, Maryam looked at me.
I should stop staring at her.
"Hello!", Maryam said looking at me.
"Hi.", I said nervously and pretended to read the reports.
But my mind was continuously focused on her.
"Impressive Maryam! It was really quick.", Caroline appreciated.
"Thank you mam, shall I show it to Luiz?", she asked.
Caroline gave her an intimidating look.
"I mean, can I show it to Luiz sir?", she corrected herself.
"No need. You may go now.", she said.
She left the room.
"Why did she not show the reports to Luiz directly?", I asked.
"The reports are regarding our chain of hotels in Germany which I got after my dad passed away. So I am the one to scrutiny it as I was heading them and Luiz just needs to officially sign as the representative and beneficiary of the company. But now you are the owner of it.", she said.
I had sweaty palms.
All this is like a wave of responsibilities. Yeah, I remember, among few of the businesses she gave me, hotel chains was one of them.
"You go and get the signatures from Luiz.", she said.
Why should I?
"Umm sure. Where is his office room?", I asked.
"To my left.", she said.
I walked out and went to the next door.
I took a long breath and knocked the door.
"Come in.", he shouted.
When I opened the door. I saw that he was walking around impatiently while he was on call with someone and was angry at the person over call.
As soon as he saw me, there was a smile on his face.
But I just entered and stood near the table.
He gestured me to sit in one of the chairs in front of him.
After he spoke over the phone call he came towards my chair.
"Hey what brought you here?", he asked me cheerfully.
"Your signatures are required on this.", I said.
He glanced the report and asked me, "Who prepared it?"
"Your Maryam.", I said annoyingly.
"I get some jelly vibes.", he said smiling sarcastically.
"Please sign.", I said pointing towards the file and got up.
"Why are you getting pissed off?", he asked me.
I jerked my face and was about to walk out of his office room.
He is so annoying.
He held my face and brought his face dangerously close to mine.
"Don't walk away when I talk to you.", he said looking sensually at me.
I slowly moved away from him. Without breaking the eye contact.
"Okay then I will run away.", I laughed and ran away.
I reached Caroline's room.
"Where is the file?", she asked.
"I... I kept in his room.", I answered.
"Go bring it back.", she said.
Oh no... I have to go back.
I walked and reached his room when the door opened itself.
"You forgot the file.", he said smiling at me.
"Yeah. Thank you.", I said and without looking back, I walked away.
I don't know why I react like this when he is around me.
After the lunch time, I learned using laptop from one of the staff members whose name was Joy. I was freer with him because Caroline was not around. He was such a funny and an easy-going guy.
It was so good to learn laptop. I can even browse whatever I want anytime. I don't know why but I typed Luiz's name first and went to his images.
Handsome but a very bad boy!
Suddenly, the door opened and Luiz barged in.
"Mr. Joy what happened to the quarterly reports?", he asked.
"Sir, the due date is tomorrow.", Joy said.
"Doesn't mean you need not submit it today. Do the work as soon as possible so that we can do something new.", he said.
"Sorry sir!.", he said in a low tone and walked out of the room.
He came and sat next to me where Joy was sitting previously.
He had a look at the laptop screen.
I was looking at his pictures. I am dead now!
He gave a smile.
"You can't get enough of me. Don't you?", he asked.
"Oh please! It was Joy who did all this.", I lied.
"Really?", he said.
"Hmm.", I said without making an eye contact.
"Leave this then. What about the book in your wardrobe with a huge collection of pictures and articles about me?", he asked.
My mouth went dry. I kept staring at him.
"Why are you fighting with your own feelings Lara?", he bent towards my ear and asked me.
I was about to melt. But my senses came back.
"I was a stupid girl to do all that. You very well knew the effect you had on me. And you... you tried to take advantage of me because of all this.", I said and got up.
He held my hand and pulled me into his lap.
"What the hell are you doing?", I started pushing him away.
"I never knew about any effect. I would want to see how much effect I have on you.", he said and kissed me without any sternness.
It was slow and drugging!
I gave in for his kiss. I held his arms tightly.
I missed him so much. It had been a week since I last saw him.
I hate him so much but I am not able to kill the feeling of love for him.
He held my head and deepened the kiss.
We both turned towards the door when it was knocked. I quickly moved away from him and stood up.
"Come in.", Luiz said.
It was some staff.
"Is madame Caroline here?", he asked.
"Can you see her here?", Luiz snapped back.
"No, she is not.", I said and he left.
