Chapter Two

(Yusuke's POV)

We, the members of the phantom thieves, followed the navigation app to where (y/n)'s palace is supposedly. We ended up at a mansion with the name label "Challis". As far as my knowledge could tell me about this Challis guy, is that he is a famous writer and artist. People who claimed to have met him says he is rather charming and talented in other areas as well, Though no one knows what this man looks like. But why was her palace located here?
"Woah! How rich is your girlfriend?! There is no way she lives here!"
Ryuji basically shouts out loud. I sighed as I began to respond.
"First of all, (y/n) is just a friend of mine. Second she lives in the girl's dormitory. There is no way that she would live in a place such as this. Besides, the name plate says Challis. You know, after that famous writer."
"Don't tell me...". Morgana said. I was utterly confused but what he had to say next would probably truly shock me, and I was mentally prepared for it.
"This Challis guy took (y/n) as his slave."
"No... that is not possible!" I yelled back at him. "(Y/n) may be weird but there is no way she would be someone else's slave! She is way too awkward to actually go outside her dorm room without having me with her."
"If that's true then how come you didn't see her in her dorm room? And she's not with you right now, so there has to be something you're not telling us." Questions Ann, looking at me as if she were an investigator.
"That's..."
"Did you break up with the poor girl? I think you two would be a good couple by what you told us about her." Ryuji added, then continued. "You're both weirdos it sounds like, and you're both the creative type, and if you were friends before then you must have things in common."
"She is NOT my girlfriend. She's.. the longest friend I ever had, she means quite a bit to me.. but I had to yell at her didn't I?"
Akira was puzzled. Then him being him, he asked the question that was on everyone's mind, and he didn't beat around the bush either.
"You had a fight didn't you? What happened?"
"Before you changed Madarame, before you convinced me of his wrong doings.. (y/n) told me that Madarame was in fact stealing my ideas from me, but I wouldn't listen to the closest friend I had. I told her that I didn't want to see her ever again. I might be very well responsible for her disappearance."
Everyone looks at me, shocked before looking at their feet. I made sure that they understood that I was in the wrong, I didn't want them to blame her. Even though they wouldn't do such a thing. Finally, Morgana spoke.
"We should start by looking around. Even though there's a gate blocking us. There might be a clue somewhere."
"We should check the mailbox." Akira suggested.
"Ohhh right. If Challis hasn't been getting the mail we could easily check the dates in the letters."
As Ann mentioned that, I quickly opened the box that had Challis' name plate on it, there inside was a bunch of letters. Looks like he hasn't been checking his mail recently.... wait what's this? A letter? And to our school?
I picked it up and showed it to the others. Without discussing anything with anyone I panicky opened it and began to read it out loud. As I read it, I could almost imagine hearing her voice, as if she was reading it herself.

The note read:

I had no one left. Just me, myself, and I after the attack. I had no one else to turn to but you. You and only you. I'd do anything for you, I wouldn't dare hurt you, Yusuke.
That's why I must go through with this. 30 days from when I write this letter, I will be dead. And by my side will be the one thing I had in this life, and he goes by the name Challis. He is important to me and I plan to go through with it. He convinced me to do this with him since we had no one else left in this world but each other.
Yusuke... no... Kitagawa-san.
I am sorry. But this is the end for me. Good bye... forever.

I could barely finish it without getting teary eyed. I missed her so much. I just want her in my life again...
This letter was written 5 days ago so we have enough time to change her heart and save her. I have to do it. It's my only hope for forgiveness.

((Y/n) POV)

There's nothing to my existence. Absolutely nothing. The only thing that makes me feel better is the cold blade dragging across my skin, cutting it deeply. Blood would seep out and the pain would slowly turn to pleasure. A red liquid dripped onto my white bed sheets but I couldn't care less. Ever since he left me, I was nothing. Nothing at all. I blamed him constantly, it was his fault I turned out this is happening to me. I hate him. No, I love him, and I still do. But I can't help but blame him for this. It's his fault. His fault.
That's what I have to keep telling to myself.... I have to.. go through with this... only 25 days left until I go through with it.
Goodbye... my dearest Yusuke. I don't expect your forgiveness, but know, that I truly do love you.
