Part 1

"BAKAGEYAMAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!"

"BOKEEEEE!!!!!!"

We both shout as we raced. Oh hey, I'm Hinata Shoyō and I'm racing with Bakageyama.

"10......MEAT......BUUUUNNNNNNSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!" I tried to went faster as I saw the court's doors.

I closed my eyes as I enter the court.

"You owe me 10 nikuman." Kageyama said and flicked my forehead.

"It-tatatatatai! Okay! Okay! Bakageyama!" I snorted and walked away.

"Hai! Let's start practice!" Coach Ukai clapped as he declared the practice.

~~after practice~~

"Let's go home, Kageyama!" It was like an involuntary action that make me say this. I stopped on my tracks and realized what I have said. I OWE HIM 10 MEAT BUNS FOR LOSING THE RACE. Ugh. I should've gone home already!

"Boke......" he said at he stood beside me.

"So......um...... aren't you going somewhere today?" I started fidgetting my fingers as I planned on letting him forget about the nikuman.

"No....I'm going straight home." We were the only ones left in school 'cause we have cleaning duties and we were scolded by Daichi-san.

"Well....um......hehe.....um....."

"Why do you keep fidgetting?" he asked and I got nervous.

"Well......do you plan on going to the playground with me?!" I nervously asked. Ukai-san's nikuman store is getting near. I have to lure him away!

".......Okay, I have nothing to do anyway." YES! YES! The plan worked! We're not gonna pass by Ukai-san's store!

"Ah. But let's go to Coach Ukai's store first. You owe me meat buns."

"Ah." I weakly responded as I felt despair.

We reached Coach Ukai's nikuman store. I'm feeling despair and weak. I should've won that race!

"Ah....The team just left minutes ago. You wanna eat, kids?"

"He owes me 10." Kageyama pointed me and I felt my soul leave my body.

"Oi.....you there?" Holding my shoulders, he shook my body.

"Hai...." I sighed and got my wallet. Luckily, I still have money.

"Can't we-"

"Oh no no no no! This is business, and customers gotta pay!" I was cut off and sighed heavier.

My fingers are shaking as I give the payment to Coach Ukai.

"Here you go!" Ukai-san passed us two bags with meat buns in it.

"Thanks, Ukai-san....."

"Let's go." Kageyama ruffled my hair and wrapped his arm around my neck.

I felt my heart thumping louder, why?

"Ah....nn...A-arigatou, Ukai-san....." I stuttered as I thanked him, then we walked out of the place.

"Now why do you want to go to the playground?" Kageyama asked.

"Uh.....nothing? I guess." I looked away and continued walking.

"........"

"........"

It's silent. I don't know why but I can't talk.

"Aren't you going to talk?" I squeaked as he asked me this.

"Uh....I-I don't know?"

"Anyway.....why didn't you have your bicycle today?" I looked at his calm eyes. It just makes me.....satisfied? I don't know.

"Oi? Boke. Answer me."

"AHH! WHAT?!"

"Why didn't you bring your bicycle today?"

"Uhh......I discovered I had a flat tire earlier this morning. Well, I was gonna be late so I ran instead." I scratched the back of my head.

"........"

I looked down. I don't know why but I feel so happy and nervous alone with him.

"Here." I looked at him. He's holding a meat bun.

"Um?-" He fed me the meat bun. I feel so embarrassed!

"I know you're h-hungry...." He said and looked away.

I smiled and looked at him.

"Thank you, Kageyama!" I giggled.

We reached the playground. It's already dark.

I sat on the swing and swung a bit. Kageyama went to the vending machine.

"What do you want?" He asked me. I'm startled but- oh well.

"Any would do." I smiled at him.
