Harper had called me to let me know that Ade and Bia were likely history  after he didn't show up.  She told me to wow her so I did what I could. The music, candles, the rose petals, the flowers and the whole nine. I felt stupid as fuck running at 10pm  to get candles from the grocery store in a tux. It was all worth it when I got to see her. She was definitely surprised to see me in the break room with flowers. Her guard was down for the first time in a long awhile. She was tired of fighting. She missed me and I missed her. I could tell by the way she looked around the room with so much uncertainty. Bia wasn't hiding that uncertainty either. We were both scared. When we hugged and she looked up at me I knew she was ready.

She was signaling that the time was now or never. This opportunity was mine to take. She was giving me the green light to change her mind. When I kissed her it was settled. This was it, for good. I nearly combusted when she turned around to walk down the hall. After it was all said and done and she laid on my chest, winded from all we'd done. Tonight had put a lot into perspective for me. My love for her grew while she was away, which I didn't think was possible. I guess it was true, if you love something let it go. If it's meant to be it'll come back to you.

We stared at each other for a solid 20 minutes. I never looked at anything or anyone that long until now. I don't even think I looked at myself that long.
We were practically the same person. It was scary. I'd never met someone so different yet so similar to me in my entire life. For the first time since being in Wakanda, with her in my arms it felt like home. That constant coldness in my house was replaced with her warmth and the smell of her perfume and her laughs. Her laughs I missed the most. Her humming, the sound of her breathing, I missed. The way her nails raked again my chest, I missed. It had come back to me. I would forever be in fates debt.

I took a shower and got dressed before driving her to her place. She wanted to change out of her old clothes and freshen up. We were going to get breakfast for the first time since arriving here. She kept complaining about how hungry she was even after that big bowl of cereal she had. She was still limping around the house rambling about some lipgloss she couldn't find.

" Bia..swear to god bruh, by the time you're ready the baby will be kicking ", I sigh. She flipped me off and grabbed her purse. We get inside my car and head for the city.

Before breakfast we stop at the corner convenience store looking for that "plan B" which they didn't carry here. Instead we'd be looking for other words like emergency contraception. Bia was NO stranger to plan B's back in the states. She'd taken it a few times. This corner store in particular was not as English speaking friendly. Thankfully I knew Xhosa so it wouldn't be a problem.

I didn't let her hand go the entire time we were in the store. We couldn't keep our hands off of each other. That was something that was fairly different since the last time we were together. PDA wasn't our thing likely because we were both caught up in our own shit. Now she was practically a drug.  She made my arm a pillow cushion in the car on the way here.

" OOHH Let's get this one ", Bia shook a box in my face excitedly.

" Do you know what that is ? ", I raise a brow at her . She looked at the box strangely then back at me.

" It literally looks just like plan b packaging. Same colors and everything ", she said. I couldn't blame her for mistaking it for the pill but none of the writing was in English.

" That's diarrhea medication. Not emergency contraception ", I said flatly. She looked at me blankly and quietly put it back.

" This is an emergency contraception tablet. It has two days worth of tablets in it. You take it after your meals. Don't drink while taking it ", I warned. I paid for it and we drove off.
