Chapter 18: Learning some information at lunch

The next day, it was a sunny sunday and at Kyle's house, Kyle was seen exiting his house and headed to his vehicle, once he turned it on, he drove out of the driveway and was on his way to Lincolnwood to have lunch with his mother at Olive Garden.

24 minutes later, Kyle pulled into the parking lot of the Olive Garden, found a parking space and he got out of the vehicle and approached the door, he entered and saw Abby standing at the door.

"Hi, mom." Kyle greeted.

"Hi, sweetie." Abby responded as she kissed him on his cheek, then they got walked to a table near one of window and the waiter came to take down their orders.

"I'd like the Tour of Italy." Kyle said.

"I'll have the Chicken Parmigiana." Abby stated, then the waiter wrote down their orders and informed them that their food would be ready in 10 minutes, then the waiter headed to serve another table.

"Mom, i think Brookie really did well at the competition."

"I agree, she's done a great job filling in for Brooke and earlier this morning, i came up with a idea, maybe we could keep Brookie on the team for the remainder of the season even when Brooke gets back tomorrow." Abby suggested.

"Sounds good to me, Hollie is a lot less troublesome than Leslie." Kyle stated.

"I agree."

"Where's Kaitlin?"

"She's with Gianna, Jennine and Rachael at the movies."

"Mom, when i woke up this morning, i did some research on where our next competition is going to be in Akron, Ohio aka the hometown of LeBron James and you know what that means."

"Cathy..." Abby muttered, rolling her eyes after hearing that they are going to face the Candy Apples for the first time since February in Atlanta, where the Candy Apples had beaten them to close out the first half of the dancing season.

"You guessed it and she's gonna use those older dancers like she usually does and i remember when Erika got DQ'ed when Cathy lied about her age."

"Me too." Abby agreed, then she saw that her son was thinking about something, which means that he might have a great idea as she looked at the green eyes that Kyle inherited from her. "What could be on your mind?"

"Mom, since Cathy likes to use older dancers, how about we spice things up by using some of our older dancers, like fighting fire with fire and that would level the playing field." Kyle suggested. "What do you think of that idea?"

Abby then smiled at her son. "Kyle, that is a really great idea! Cathy and her stinking, rotten apples won't even see it coming. I'll tell Kaitlin, Gia, Jennine and Rachael later on today."

"I'd love to see her face when she sees that we've brought some ringers in our group routine to go up against her group." Kyle smirked, then their food arrived and they began eating.
