Chapter 8

Beep... Beep... Beep...

I groaned, trying to grab my phone, being held down by a warm embrace and soft snoring in my ear. I blushed as the thought and wiggled myself free. I can't believe a Shimada - A high and powerful family of Japan - and I - a little, awkward marshmallow- slept together. I turned off my alarm hearing Genji stir and face away from me, as I checked my phone. 6 am, Tuesday. I shrugged and laid back down in my bed. To be honest, I wanted Genji's arms around me but I didn't want to be used, as he did with all of his chicks.

10 minutes and I've been rolling around the whole time in this bed until Genji's sleepy voice cut off anymore of my movements. "Y/N, why are you moving so much?" He asked, his voice, making me shudder slightly as it was so attractive.

"I couldn't get back to sleep, I'm sor-"

"Sh, come here, baby." He said as he turned to me and had his arms ready to wrap around me once more. I blushed at both the nickname and the small gesture and shuffled my way into his chest. "I know you liked it from how you hardly moved last night." He chuckled, tightening his arms around me, ever so slightly, making me feel as I did last night.

I heard that alarm go off again, hearing a soft "morning again" from Genji, as he released his grasp so I could move away. I did so and got up, stretching, looking down at him.

"So we didn't need the mattress, did we?" I smiled, as he got out of my bed and stretched, letting out a little laugh.

"Don't lie, Y/N. You liked it." He smiled, grabbing ahold of my arm and pulling me into a hug. I pushed him away and giggled.

"No more hugs, unless it is absolutely necessary." I said as he laughed and hugged me again.

"It is because I like hugs and I like you, a lot Y/N..." I froze, not knowing how to feel. I did like him as he was such a charming character, but could I really trust him? Did he just want to fuck around with my feelings? If we did become something more, would he even care if we broke up? So many questions I wanted answered.

GENJIS POV

Shit... I mentally face palmed. First, I slept in her bed with her, now i've told her how I felt about her. Such a beautiful, amazing girl... This is why I liked her. She has the most beautiful smile and personality. She wasn't like the girls at school who wanted to associate with me for popularity, she spoke her opinion and she stands up for herself, which i witnessed all firsthand.

"I-I'm sorry, I just really like you, Y/N. You don't have to say that you do too but I-I just want you to know that I like you." I stuttered our after a few minutes of silence.

"Genji, I like you too but how do I know you aren't just going to throw me in the dirt and get with a new girl straight after?"

That. Shattered. Me.

"Y/N, I don't want to hurt you. You're the only girl that's been real to me. You don't want me for popularity and you are different. That's why I want you. I want to show everyone I have someone who actually cares for me. Someone who actually wants me for me and I know you don't want me for the people I hang out with or for my power in Japan or shit like that... Trust me, I have my eyes set on you and i want you and only you, Y/N L/N." I pulled her in close, wanting her to tell me she loved me.

"Please, Genji... Be careful with me..." She said as she wrapped her arms around my neck, looking up at me.

Y/N POV

I wanted him and i told him that. I looked up at him, pulling his head down and whispering into his ear, "Please don't make me regret this..."

"I promise you I wont... I love you."

"I love you too..."

He left a kiss on my forehead, unknowing if it was okay to do so, leaving me to nod in consent. I stood on my tippy toes and gave him a peck on the lips, pushing away from him and walking out my door, to the kitchen.

"Wait, so it's official?" Genji asked, as i plopped chocolate chips into the pancakes.

"Mhm"

"So you're my girlfriend?"

I rolled my eyes. "Yes idiot, now would you like pancakes or not?" I asked, pushing the plate with 3 large pancakes and whipped cream to his chest, as I took my own plate to the lounge room to eat.

"Thanks beautiful." He said taking a seat next to me.

I really hope you'll treat me well...

School has been challenging and X's death took a huge toll on me as he helped me with a lot of my issues, i'm sorry for the long wait and inconsistent writings, I start holidays pre much today so i'm just gonna try and write as much as I can. I'm sorry and I love you all so much.
