Ah... the towels of McDonalds. Have you ever had a dirty table while eating there? Not surprising. The towels that are used to clean your tables are also the towels they use to clean the bathrooms... and toilets. If you're lucky that day, There will be a soiled towel bucket up front and they'll be a good employee and put it in the dirty towels bucket, but sometimes there isn't a bucket up front so they either toss it next to the clean bucket or toss it back into the clean bucket, contaminating the rest of the clean towels. At the end of the day, during closing time, there is a washer in the back, they put every towel back into the washer, start it and pull them out the next day, putting the cleaning solution into the clean bucket and some towels. Most closers are tired and cranky and more lazy than usual, because they don't get lunch or breakfast rushes. Some closers are especially lazy or just plain stupid and don't clean the towels AT ALL and they in fact put them back into the clean bucket with new cleaning solution. With these towels they clean everything, The food areas, drive through area, the table food is made on, grills, counters, drinking fountains, and the tables. You're table 50% of the time is most likely cleaned with a rag they cleaned a toilet with. Think about that the next time a child is licking the table or you're eating off of one.
