Overprotective

Chapter 8

             *Thomas's POV*
I woke up and looked at the calendar, it was the anniversary of Newts limp. I sighed knowing he was going to be sad. I woke him up "babe its time to get up we got school." He groaned getting up.

We got ready and headed for school. I held his hand rubbing my finger over his knuckles whispering positive things to him. We went inside the school and all eyes turned towards newt and I.

He tensed up and squeezed my hand. It was like that until Gally went to newt, I stepped in front of him. One of his friends grabbed and pulled me away. "Newt, run." He tried to run but his limp slowed him down and gally grabbed him shoving him down.

I struggled to get away, newt laid there holding him leg crying. Gally started punching him he pulled newt up by his hair "everybody listen here, a year ago today this pathetic excuse of a kid failed to fucking commit sucide!"

A teacher walked up and grabbed gally pulling him off newt, gally's friend let go of me and I ran to newt hugging him.

A young boy came up to us "are you guys okay? My name is Aris and I'm here for you." I smiled at him "thanks Aris we'll be okay thanks, I'm gonna take newt home." He nods winking at newt hugging him.

*Newts POV*
As Aris hugged me he whispered "you're mine baby" I cringed and he grabbed my butt. I quickly went to catch up to Tommy. I held his hand tight kinda scared to let go.

When we got to his car he sat there staring at the steering wheel, I grabbed his arm "Tommy are you okay" he shook his head "no newt I'm not."

He started to drive and was going really fast so we got there quick. "Tommy answer me what's wrong" he didn't say anything just getting out of the car going inside.

I sighed going to the door but Tommy had locked it. I started crying walking down the street. I kept walking until I came to the all to familiar building where I failed to take my life a year ago.

I climbed up to the roof and took out my phone, taking a video of where I was I sent it to Tommy. I sat down on the edge silently crying hoping Tommy would care. 

                     *Thomas's POV*
As soon as I got the text from newt showing he was on top of the roof of the building he tried to kill himself. I felt really guilty grabbing my keys driving to the building.

I quickly ran up to the roof to find newt standing on the ledge. I walked slowly walked to him "newt don't jump please" he turned to me shocked "Tommy" I stepped closer to him and he smiled but slipped and fell.

I closed my eyes out of fear but I heard him groaning "Tommy help me!" I opened my eyes to see him holding on the ledge but his hand was slipping. I quickly grabbed him pulling him up hugging him and kissing his head pulling him away from the ledge.
