Arriving At McDonald's

When we turned in, I saw that both vehicle lines in the drive-through were packed. With only 10 to 15 minutes till school would start, I felt rushed. I was in my pajamas and I knew if my son was late they would make me walk into the school to sign him in. I didn't want that to happen because not only am I in my PJs and they don't match, but my hair is a wreck and my husband along with his family are well known in our town. This means people know who I am and how embarrassing would that be. So since the drive-through is packed, I pulled into a parking space with a view of the inside of the McDonald's. I figured I would let my son go inside and order since they are usually faster than the drive-through for some reason. I felt like this was safe because I could look behind me to the back of the vehicle and see the inside of the restaurant. My son has done this before with no problems and with the little time I had to get my son to school, I really didn't want to unbuckle the four year old boy I babysat and deal with all the dragged on mess of fits and slow walking that would accompany me if I got him out of the vehicle. For those reasons I let my son go in alone.
