It felt as if time slowed as Ethan and Aiden, both shifted, fully charged towards Stiles. I was immensely surprised to see that the Oni inside of me wasn't trying to break through. The two twins had Stiles up in a choke hold as my eyes widened, watching the emitter fall from Stiles' hand.

"Stop!" I screamed. "Motus!" I yelled as I swiped my hand, watching one of the twins get sent into an abandoned locker nearby with my magic. I ran to the next twin, trying to pull him off, only for him to growl loudly in my face- fangs prominent and his steel blue eyes glaring inside of mine. Instinctively, Scott pushed me behind him and let out a demanding roar to the twin, his glowing crimson eyes over-powering the twin.

"It's me. Scott, Carson, I swear it's me." Stiles bargained as he straightened out his shirt, his pleading eyes looking into mine. "I don't know where I've been the last two days or what I've been doing, but this is me. I promise." Stiles spoke as I creased my eyebrows together, taking a step back.

"The night of your MRI, do you remember what happened in the elevator?" I questioned as a small frown sat on my face. My heart plummeted as Stiles shyly nodded 'yes' to my question.

"Oh."

"You know what happened at the hospital?" Ethan asked from the ground, staring up at Stiles.

Stiles' attention then turned to him, sighing as he walked towards a bag. "I know more than that." He answered as he knelt down next to a duffel bag. We all watched silently as Stiles pulled out a blueprint. "See this?" He questioned as he opened it up and laid it out flatly.

"It's a blueprint of the hospital's electrical wiring. You see all these markings in red? That's my handwriting. I know I did this, I caused the accident. And everything in this bag, it's all stuff that could be part of something bigger." Stiles finished as both Scott and I shared wary looks.

I watched as Ethan pulled out some form of an electric saw, holding it up in front of his face. "What the hell have you been up to?" He asked the question that's lingering in all of our minds.

Stiles took a deep breath as he looked up at all of us. "I think something worse. A lot worse." He spoke.

I sighed out loud as I grabbed the heavy duty duffel bag, placing it on a table near us. "I'd like to hope that you're just exaggerating because Stiles, you're famous for that." I muttered. But as I began pulling out all of the tools and the materials that were in the bag, it became clear that Stiles wasn't exaggerating.

I pitched softly as my phone starting to ring in my pocket. I creased my eyebrows together as I looked down at the screen, Derek. "I'll be back, just gonna take this." I announced to whoever was listening, but it was mainly directed to Scott. After I walked away, Aiden took over the scouring of Stiles' destruction time kit. "Hello?" I answered standing on the steps, a fair distance away from the wolves and Stiles.

"Are you up for an adventure? Are you at school?" Derek questioned, leaving me to raise an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I'm to school." I answered suspiciously.

I heard Derek let out a frustrated sigh before he started speaking again."If I call you again, I'll need you to come ASAP." Derek vaguely spoke.

"But-" My words got cut off by the sound of him disconnecting his end of the line. I close my eyes tightly as I nodded.

This. This is my life now.

Though I was extremely confused as to why Derek may need me, there was still a pressing matter at hand here. I pushed my phone in my pocket and I hurried down the stairs, getting back to the guys as I looked at the map that was laid out on the table.

I narrowed my eyes as I pointed onto the track that was highlighted on the map. "Isn't that the cross country trail?" I questioned, looking around for them to nod in suspicion.

Scott also pointed out a particular section, "That's the Tate car, where Malia's family died." He spoke as I rose an eyebrow.

"You mean that's where her father put the steel jaw traps." Stiles pointed out the same idea that was running through my mind. Getting my ankle caught in one of them was probably the worst pain that I have ever felt in my entire life. All of a sudden, it just dawned on me that if the werewolves didn't hear that emitter, we all would've been on that trail- falling into whatever trap the Nogitsune has planted.

"We need to go." I hurried out as I brought my bag onto my shoulder, rushing away from the table. As the werewolves and Stiles packed up everything else back into his bag of pain, I pulled out my phone to call Flora, seeing that they must be on their way back to school by now.

"Yo Carse, everything okay?" Flora answered her phone almost instantly, leaving me to sigh out in relief.

"Actually no, we found Stiles an-"

"You found Stiles?!"

"Well actually- he found us.. but that's not the point here. We went over some stuff and we think that he-well, he who was not himself, might have planted some sort of trap on the cross country trail. We need you and Ava to stop that, like now! Get Kira if you need to." I rushed out into the phone as clear as possible as Scott and I made our way to his car. Once Flora gave me the okay, I hung up.

"Come on, get in." Scott panted as I hurriedly sat down in the passenger seat, fastening my seat belt. In times like this I know that a million and one thoughts are running through his mind and I know that he feels an intense amount of pressure because of a dark spirit wearing his best friend's face.

I turned to Scott before he revved the car up with a guilty grin. "Is it bad that I actually wish you had your motorcycle right now?"

Scott breathed out a chuckle, changing the car's gear. "I knew it would grow on you."

Scott's driving was erratic and I know that us two in this car is a perfect depiction of our thoughts- contained in a place that is bound to lose control at any given moment, even if we close our eyes for more than a second. With Stiles MIA for more than 48 hours we have no idea what he had planted in the trail- or how big and lethal it can be. With thoughts like these, it almost seems like too much- and I can't believe the events that are happening right now.

We pulled up to the reserve and as I looked out of the window, I noticed that Stiles and the twins pulled up the same time as Scott and I, leaving us both to race out of the car. "Find the rest." I spoke to Scott and he nodded, immediately speeding off.

"STILINSKI! What the hell is going on!" Coach shouted after Stiles who had took off running through the forest, with knowledge in my mind. Like several other times, I was running through the reserve, and in heeled boots yet again. After this whole mumbo-jumbo, Stiles owes me a full day at the spa.

In the midst of no where, Flora, Ava and Kira appeared with all three of their chests heavily heaving up and down. I breathed out in relief, now knowing that my best friends are okay.

"SCOTT!" I heard Stiles shout as he slid through the leaves, cautiously eyeing the ground that was fully covered in brown leaves that marked the beginning of Autumn. Scott soon appeared and as he did, the mass of running students did as well as I lurched forward.

"STOP! EVERYBODY STOP!" I yelled as loud as I could with my arms stretched out in front of me. Though we got everyone to stop, it baffled me. My eyes trained on Stiles who knelt down, his trembling hands scouring through the leaves. I pursed my lips as I turned on my heel, staring at my surroundings.
