Chapter 23: preparing for the war

After everyone returned to base rees asked for everyone to come to the jeager bay and yancy was needed for this speach
Rees: right first things first yancy can we access the kaiju realm
Yancy: yes but it requires going through the breach
Rees: thats fine and shao is the weapon done
Shao: will be finished by tonight
Rees: good ok everyone listen up ive been marshall of the shatterdome now for a couple of months and these kaiju are really pissing me off so if all jeagers and pilots are willing to go im planning on hitting the kaiju on the terf
Amara: well by the looks of it all jeagers and pilots are willing
Rees: good but there is one thing that will not be changed
Peter: that is
Rees: well at this point in time me and amara are marshall but after this only amara will be marshall
Brad: what why
Rees: that weapon shao and hurman are working on is a human sized nuke but still has the explosive radius of the full size nuke and as this was my plan i am the only one that will not return
Amara: wait you mean that your going to detonate the nuke
Rees: yes because i have had a secret project for these past couple of months and will be done by the end of this week
MJ: and what would that be
Rees: it would be a full size jeager but its a solo rig
Raleigh: meaning your going solo
Rees: yes
Herc: but what about amara and gipsy because we know amara can't solo pilot
Rees: yes i also took that into consideration and i have found a spare pilot for the job
Bazz: which is who
Voices: me
Herc: son about time you got here
Chuck: sorry dad but i didnt know how you would react so i stayed away but i see that now is a time of need and im here to help
Rees: everyone new this is ranger chuck hansen he ran co-pilot with herc in the first kaiju war and also finshed that war with ex marshall stacker pentacost
Chuck: yeah not my type of exit but the best kind
Raleigh: man my sister has changed you
Chuck: the power of women i guess
Rees: so everyone chuck will be gipsy's step in co-pilot while im solo and chuck one warning no flirting
Chuck: i would but im married so no can do parker boy
Rees: good well im counting on you to keep my wife and jeager safe while im gone
Chuck: count on me
Rees: ok i know this is not the best way to say im going to die but with no sacifice there's no victory
Peter: you stole that from transformers didnt you
Rees: yeah but it fits so well so everyone operation pitfall mk2 is starting now and will finish this weekend so get ready and as much as it is hard for me to say but say goodbye just in case thank you all for listening and is their any questions
Shao: erm its not a question but there is no harness left in base for a jeager
Rees: shit i forgot about the safety shit wait i know ill use my iron man suit so everyone i want all jeagers lock and loaded and pilots rested and ready cheers
