This was written before the release of Blood of Olympus, back when Nico was still leading an unhappy life!! But now as we all know, he is finally happy (which in turn makes me the happiest person on earth) so this story is meaningless now... So I had to discontinue.
The heroes of legend
So great and powerful...
Their stories will live
Well beyond their years.
But what about the unsung one,
The companion to the great hero?
Does he not deserve praise?
Destiny may not have chosen him
Fate must have overlooked him
But he still fought the great evil
Slayed the vile demon,
And most importantly
He protected the hero!
Nothing can be done alone
Too often is this forgotten,
The focus is put on one
Who did not chose
But was chosen.
What about the other,
The one that did chose?
He chose to risk everything
There was nothing great at work
Forcing him to chose
It was a simple
Yet immense decision
Sometimes the greater hero isn't the destined one
It is the one that stood by the hero
The choice they made
Never regretting it
Only pushing forward to another's goal...

Then, I also don't own the characters of HoO and neither the main plot - my story revolves around Riordan's plot with just more focus on Nico di Angelo. The cover pic too is not mine. All I own is the OC and my immense love towards the son of Hades - the unsung hero, as I believe him to be!!
I've decided to write this fanfic to show everyone the true importance that Nico holds. I don't know why Riordan made his life so miserable, but I have vowed to myself to improve his condition! "The Unsung Hero" is my earnest effort to improve his condition and to show my love and admiration towards him!
