Chapter1~ Love at First Latté

Bill's POV

"Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!" Oy! I turn over and shut off my alarm clock. I'm new to this town and can't wait to meet new people but man why so early?! I go take a shower and get dressed and by then I'm fully awake! I already have a job in this town, as a barista at a café in town. Can't wait!!! I check the time, 6:45. I'm supposed to be there at 8:00 but why not be there early? So I grabbed my keys and my phone,and left.

I arrived at my destination and looked at my phone 7:01. So what if I'm an hour early, maybe I can grab something to eat! I looked around at the, mostly closed, stores. Man is anything open? I thought, nothing with food..........sadness. I pressed my face up to the glass of my new work place and looked in. Is anyone here yet? I squinted my to try to get a better look when I heard a hello from behind me. I jumped and turned around to see it was my boss Sue. Most called her 'Lazy Susan' due to her one lazy eye though.

"Hi" I smiled at her."Well someone's early on the first day " she laughed as she unlocked the door."Y-yah I wanted to make a good impression, ya know?" I said following her into the building. We walked behind the counter and she handed me an apron and a name tag, which I gladly took and put on.

"Wendy will be helping you through your training today." She said as she started making some coffee. "Oh ok!" I said while sitting on the counter, "When will she be here?" She turned around and looked at her watch."Umm anytime now..." and with that a lovely red-head girl walked through the door.

"HELLO!!!" I basically yelled at her waving enthusiastically,"I'M BILL CIPHER!!!" I jumped off the counter and ran to greet her."Hi I'm Wendy." She said in a nice tone. "C'mon Red lets go make stuff!"I yelled pulling her to the kitchen. "Um ok" she mumbled and started helping me learn to make stuff.

It was almost opening time and I was really excited! Sue flipped the sign-thing to open and some people came through a couple of minutes later. For a while I watched Wendy and picked up some notes on how to run things. Like how to flirt with the customers.But after a few people I wanted a go. "Hay Red it's my turn to try!" I said and walked to the counter. She gladly walked to the kitchen and started making things as well as keeping an eye on me.

"Welcome to the café! I'm Bill Cipher! What will you be having today cutie?" I said with a wink as a cute boy walked up to the counter. He blushed and said,"I'll have a medium tea please." So cute! "Ok, will that be all?" I asked. He nodded. "Ok that'll be 2.50 please."I said. He handed me the money and took a seat on one of the bar stools. Wendy walked up behind me and whispered who that boy was.

"WHAT THE DIPPER PINES?!?! HE'S LIKE MY FAVORITE AUTHOR OF ALL TIME!!!!" I yelled gaining some glances from a few and a blush from Dipper, "Sorry" I made Dipper's tea and handed it to him as Wendy took over the register again. "Um sorry about that" I said to him probably blushing a bit. "It's fine I'm glad you enjoy my books"he smiled. "So what brings you to a small town like this?" I asked. "Well I'm visiting my great uncles for the summer"he said and I nodded, "also the woods here are great inspiration! What about you? I'm assuming you're new to town?" He asked. "Yah I came to get out of the city and away from my parents, cuz they kinda hate me." I said still in a happy tone though. Dipper gave me a saddened look. I noticed and put a hand on his shoulder."It's ok I'm away from there now!" I told him.

"Break it up you two Bill needs to get back to work!" Wendy said messing up my hair making me blush a little. "Oh yah...here Pinetree" I said and wrote my number on the styrofoam cup,"Text me~" I then went back to work...

Dip POV

'Ok it's 8:30 at night Bill should be off by now...right' I thought to myself 'well he did say to text him....but why did he call me Pinetree?' I put the number into my phone and made a contact for him.'here goes nothing' (a/n the underlines stuff will be the texts and I'll put the first letter of their names in front of it)

D:Hay it's Dipper.From the café this morning. You free?

B:Yah sup!

D:idk you told me to text you

B:oh yah I guess I did XD...so are you gonna be coming to the café tomorrow?

D:yah I might bring my laptop and work on some stuff

B:COOL I WANNA SEE!!!

D:maybe

B:well Pinetree I think I'm gonna go to bed

D:wait one more question!

B:what is it?

D:why do you call me Pinetree?

B:cuz your hat plus it's a cute nickname! Don't cha think?! ^u^

D:oh...yah it is

B:well night Pinetree ^u^

D:night Bill! See ya tomorrow!

B:yah see ya tomorrow

I sat my phone down and laid back on my bed with a smile on my lips. 'I finally made a friend without my sister's help!!! Tomorrow is gonna be a good day...' and with that I fell asleep excited for the next day...
