Everything Goes Black (Skillet Fan Fiction)

Chapter Four:

~John's P.O.V.~

"Blade....Blade!" I kept repeating her name on the phone, but she was not replying. I quickly dialed Korey's phone number to tell her what was going on. She left a little bit ago to pick up my two kids from school, Alexandria and Xavier.

"Hello?" Korey asked on the other side of the phone.

"Korey......," I started. I had no idea how I was going to explain this to her.

"Yes?" she asked.

"Something's wrong.........It's about Blade...," I told her.

"What about Blade?" she asked, afraid of what I was going to say. "Where is she?"

"That's the thing....I don't know...," I admitted.

"Then how do you know that something is wrong?" she asked.

"She called me.....I know something's wrong, because she said hurry, and stuff like that, and she sounded out of breath. She had to have passed out, because I kept shouting her name....And there was no answer...," I told her.

"Oh my god," Korey sounded like her heart cracked a little bit.

"I have to go find her, just tell the kids that I'm looking for her.....I've been told they've wanted to meet her," I replied. There was a little smile on my face for a second, glad that the kids didn't mind that Blade was staying with us.

"Okay, just be careful," she said.

"Okay...I love you," I told her.

"I love you too....Bye," she replied.

"Bye," I said and then hung up the phone. I ran out the door and used my Alpha speed to go find Blade.

It took me about 5 minutes to find her, and when I did, I froze. She was lying against a tree, limp. I was afraid that I was too late, but then I slowly saw her bloody stomach rise and fall, but they were shallow breaths. I looked Blade up and down. I could barely see her.....Just blood. I saw at the corner of my eye, another bloody figure. I walked over to it and my eyes went wide. It was Mike. I looked at his stomach and bent down closer to hear a heartbeat......There wasn't one...I couldn't believe it. Blade.....A human, but still had the wolf gene......Killed a werewolf....A very powerful werewolf....He was the King of Rogues for Christ's sake!

I walked back over to Blade and gently picked her up. I used my Alpha speed and went over to my pack doctor to see if he could help her.

"Josh!" I shouted. The next thing I knew, Josh, my pack doctorm was in front of me.

"Yes Alpha?" he asked. He looked down at Blade and his eyes went wide. "Whoa, what happened here?"

"No time to explain, let's just say...The King of Rogues did it and I need help......Can you please help her?" I asked.

"I will try my best, Alpha....Of course," he replied, reaching for Blade. I pulled away and growled. "Sorry, Alpha. Just set her right there," he pointed to a hospital bed. I gently set her down, and Josh started taking her into a room, and I heard him call for nurses.....And many of them came. I couldn't even count how many nurses went in that room....I was too stressed out, worried, and scared. I had to worry about a war that is about to start, and now Blade.

We were already going to war with a pack that didn't believe in me becoming the King of Alphas.....But now that the King of Rogues is dead......We're going to be in a lot of trouble when they found out that Mike was killed....

~3 hours later~

I told Korey to stay home with the kids, I didn't want her or the kids to worry about this...

"Daddy!" I heard a voice shout. I turned around and the next thing I knew, Alexandria jumped into my lap.

"Alex, what are you doing here?" I asked, looking down at her. She just smiled up at me, her cute little eyes shining. I looked up and saw Korey walking over, holding Xavier's hand. "Korey, what are you doing here?"

"We couldn't just sit at home and wait for more news....The kids really wanted to come," she told me.

"We prayed, Daddy...," Xavier said to me.

"Yeah, Xavier and me prayed," Alex confirmed. I just smiled down at them.

"Well, I know God heard your prayers......I hope he says yes about helping her and to make sure she feels better," I said. "We might be here a while, though. Are you sure you want to stay?" I asked.

"Of course," Korey said, sitting next to me. She rested her hand on mine. I grabbed it and squeezed it.

'John, she'll be fine.....She's a very strong girl...,' Korey told me through the mind link.

'I know she's strong.....I just don't know if she's strong enough....,' I told her.

'I'm sure she is, I mean....She did kill the King of Rogues...,' Korey reminded me.

I sighed, 'Yes I know.....Why do I have a feeling that this is going to come back and bite us in the butt later?'

'Just don't worry.......You're way too stressed....,' she said.

'I know, but I can't help it...,' I told her.

The next thing I knew, Korey kissed me.

She pulled away. "Are you sure?" She asked with a smile on her face.

"Eeeewwwwwww!!!," Alex and Xavier said in unison. Korey and I couldn't help but chuckle. I kissed both of them on the forehead.

"I wish you two would say that forever....," I smiled.
