Blaze's P.O.V

My eyes look across the waters to see where that came from. I'm lucky the beach is almost empty so I don't have to pick out a voice from a crowd. I see a buff guy and who I assume is his girlfriend stealing glances at us. The voice was male, so it was him. I glance at Dottie, and by the look on her face, I know she heard him too. I let a low growl and start to walk in his direction when Dottie pushes me back.

"Blaze, stop!" She says quietly, knowing that the rude couple might be listening.

"Why? Who gives him the right to say that? Why should I not give him a piece of my mind?" I snarl, glaring at the guy who said that.

"Blaze... if you attack him you're no better than him!" I look back at Dottie and into her pleading blue eyes.

"But Dottie-" I try to argue.

"Look, that guy is just ignorant! He's wrong, but even if you tell him that, he's never going to change. What, do you expect to say whatever you were going to say to him and he suddenly agrees with you?" Dottie mumbles desperately, her voice barely audible over the sound of the ocean and people talking around us. "Blaze, we deal with this stuff all the time as werewolves, and you should know what to expect by now!"

"But... don't you just want to punch him in the face?" I grumble. Dottie snickers.

"Of course I do, but is that going to solve anything?" Dottie asks rhetorically. I bite my lip and avert her gaze.

"No.... it won't...." I admit shamefully.

"Let's go, babe. I don't want to be near them anymore." Dottie's ear twitches when the guy says that, so I know she heard it too. I start growling but then I remember what Dottie said and I stop.

"I hate people like that...." I mumble, watching the ignorant couple walk back up the hill with a focused glare.

"We all do..." Dottie agrees. "I'd do anything to change their minds about us...." She mutters, the waters of the ocean still pulling past her. I sigh, taking a moment to just stare at the moon aimlessly before speaking again.

"L-Let's go home." I look back at Dottie, and I can't help but see that she looks so hurt... I pull her in for a hug.

"Thanks Blaze..." Dottie smiles and we go home.

Dottie changes in the bathroom while I change in our bedroom. She knocks on the door and I let her in since I'm fully dressed.

(A/N: Dottie's pajamas are like this but light blue:)

Dottie's pajamas are really cute in my opinion! Meanwhile I just have a red shirt with a grey star on it and grey pajama shorts. Dottie blushes as she leans over to the left to get a better look at the bed. "You look great!" I compliment.

"I won't look good in the morning." Dottie jokes. I scoff.

"However bad you'll look, I bet all my money and one of my ears I'll look worse." I joke back, walking to the window and closing the blinds. Although it's night, the island still glows with the lights of streetlights, other people's resort houses, and lights decorating buildings. By the time I turn around to enter the bed, Dottie's already gotten herself comfortable under the covers. I turn off the light and close the door before pulling myself under the blankets. It's so dark but I can see her features since we're facing each other. We're still fairly far away from each other, but no so far away that we're in an uncomfortable position.

"Good night Blaze!" Dottie whispers.

"G'night Dottie."

---

What is this? Why am I suffocating? Ow, ow, ow, why am I being whacked?

"Blaze-" Whack. "Get" Whack. "Up right now!" Whack whack whack. This extreme awakening causes my eyes to slap open. It takes a while for me to figure out, but I eventually recognize the weapon as a pillow and the voice as Dottie.

"Stahp it! I'm awake!" I yell, pushing the pillow off of me. Dottie giggles.

"I hope you understand this was my laaast resort~" Dottie pulls the pillow to her side. "I tried everything! First I started shaking you lightly but you kept sleeping so then I started yelling but that didn't work so I just had to do this and-" Dottie rambled while I continued to yawn, considering the fact that I just woke up. As she kept rambling, her words turned into blurs as I drifted back into sweet, sweet unconsciousness-

Whack.

"OW!" I yell, sitting back up in a flash and rubbing my head.

"Sleepyhead~" Dottie teased, sticking her tongue out at me. "Anyway, it's likely that that today'll be our last day here... and we still have so much to dooo~!" Dottie pushes me lightly in the head but since I just woke up and I'm half-dead it feels like she pushed me with full force and I fall onto the bed. Dottie cracked up at the sight.

"Mmmmm. I guess you're right... but I'm too tired to function." I grab a pillow and lay my head on it and I can practically feel Dottie's eye roll. I close my eyes and start to fall asleep again when I hear loud music being played in my ear.

"DES-PA-CITO!" I fall out of the bed in shock. Dottie keeps laughing and turns off the song. "Get dressed~" She playfully demands before leaving the room.

Dottie.... what am I going to do with you?

---

Dottie's trembling. I can't believe it. She's the one who wanted to go on this slide, after all! "You scared?" I ask as the line gets shorter as another person slides down. Dottie shakes her head rapidly.

"N-Nooo!" She lies.

"You're shaking." I respond.

"That's because it's cold!" Dottie says the first excuse she can think of. I raise an eyebrow.

"It's summer, we're at Love~Love Paradise. Where is the cold exactly?" I joke, moving forward as the line gets shorter again.

"H-How much longer until it's our turn?" Dottie changes the subject, not wanting to accept her lie. I count them.

"Seven. Seven people." Dottie looks at me with wide eyes.

"R-Really?" She squeaks, her tail drooping low.

"Dottie, you're the one who wanted to go on the Thunderbolt in the first place!" I remind her.

"S-Still! The line wasn't scary back then! It was long, and I felt confident!" Dottie scrambles to justify herself. The line moves again. Six people. I don't think I've ever seen her this scared before. I place an arm around her shoulder.
