Simon and I spent all morning on the hospital with my dad. Around 11 o'clock, Simon drove me back to Taylor's house in silence. When we get to Taylor's house I take my spare key and open the front door with Simon behind me. All of the sudden Taylor and her mom attack me with hugs. If Simon wasn't behind me to catch me I would've cracked my  head on the side walk.

"Jodey! I was worried sick about you!" Taylor yells at me

"Sorry I didn't come home last night, something happened to my dad." I say blankly

"Oh no! What happened?" Mrs. L asks me

"Uh, well my dad had a heart attack at work, I got the call while Simon and I were out and he drove me to the hospital to see him." I say looking at him

"Omg, Jodey! I'm so sorry" Taylor says looking at my copper colored eyes

"Its fine, I'll get over it when he goes back to work and forgets I'm even here."

"Why don't we order pizza tonight?" Mrs. L asks

"Fine with me" I say trying to act normal

"Pizza it is. Mrs. L says

When pizza comes Taylor and Mrs. L try to get me to talk about my feelings and thoughts (about my dad in the hospital). I just tell them I'm fine. I notice Simon is really quiet tonight, I lean over to him and whisper to him....

"Can I speak with you after dinner?" I ask

"Anytime you need someone to talk to I'm here." He whispers back to me

"Thank you, I would talk to Taylor but I'm worried she will tell her mom. She kinda does what she wants

Right after dinner I rush to Simon's room and knock on the door twice.

"Come in" I hear him yell

"Hey, its me" I say peakimg in the door way.

      "Jodey, you look upset"

"Uh, yeah, that's what I wanted to talk to you about"

"What is is?" He asks softly

"I was thinking about my dad again" I say and start crying

"Let it all out" Simon says as he pulls me close to him and I cry on his shoulder.
