June 1-10: Entering Stage
If you're going to nominate or enter yourself, make sure your story meets the requirements and enter after June 1, but before June 10, the year of the competition you're in.
June 10-July 20: The Cut Stage
Roughly every Monday, one story will be cut. If there are 9-11 competitors, it will likely not take place on a predetermined schedule.
July 20-31: The Judging Stage
At this point there will be just two stories left. During this stage, it will be decided who won the competition.
August 1: Announcement
On August 1, the final decision of the winner will be announced and the winner will be given his, her, or their prizes.
