Chapter 41

One month later mid-October
Rebecca POV

I am rather excited this is a big weekend I have Jessie's wedding on Saturday and Sunday is The Walking Dead premiere. I have arranged to meet Ming in Las Vegas, I am looking forward to him meeting my friends he hasn't met any of mine, but I don't see them as often. I'm waiting at the terminal for him to land, I'm lucky I can still kind of get away with being anonymous I like that I see his plane taxiing in and I have missed him I wasn't able to take the time off for his birthday I had to work according to Greg I think he was full of shit as I was stuck on set all day waiting and then the weather turned so there was no filming done that day and it was too late to see Mingus so I missed his eighteenth birthday, I want to think it was not deliberate but I know he hates me, why he does I have no idea. I see Ming disembark and walk towards him we kiss and walk away.

"Hey, babe I missed you. Did you have a good birthday?"

"Yeah, I did I'm eighteen a man and all."

"I know, and I'm so happy you're finally eighteen we can be out in the open and honest with each other."

"Yes, I know."

We left and got a taxi to our hotel we decided to stay at the Mandalay bay hotel as we checked in I was surprised when I did that Maria and Charly were checking in at the same time.

"Hey, sis."

"Oh my god, Rebecca! Hi, you must be Mingus it's so nice to finally meet you this one here she can't stop talking about you."

"Yeah, she does talk about me."

"So, did Jessie finally decide to add you to the wedding party?"

"Nah she didn't I wasn't sister enough guess she is having her husband-to-be's sister."

"Well if I ever find a man that wants to marry me, I want you to be my maid of honor."

"Of course, sis." We hug as the bellboy takes our bags and promises that we will meet later for shopping and dinner.

"So that's the Maria? Nice my dad tapped that." I smacked his arm.

"My sister isn't an ass you tap, and neither am I."

"True she seems nice, I understand why you love her and are protective of her. That Charly makes me want to have babies she's so damn cute. You know I think about it all the time, that we would've had our baby by now. Why do you think I wouldn't want to marry you?"

"You're eighteen you can't possibly know what you want. I'm okay with just having you in my life."

"Rebecca, I want you, why wouldn't I? I think we're great together. I want what my grandparents have yeah my folks weren't the ideal role models for married life hell they never even got that far but I want it Rebecca and I could be very happy with you, I'm very happy with you."

"I'm sorry I'm not pressuring you. I'm older than my mom was when she married my dad, and I guess with this wedding and as I'm feeling it. I want it all a husband, a family of my own, I've been alone for so long."

"Honey, you aren't alone anymore I'm here." There was a knock on the door, it was Maria. "Hey, Maria. Hello Charly."

"I'm ready honey."

"Rebecca are you okay if Charly comes with us? I didn't hire a sitter."

"Maria? If you're okay Charly can stay here, and you two can have fun. I know you don't know me but..."
