A week later. Just one simple week after my panic attack and now I sit here under the cover of a blind nun. It was really simple of a job, but the people we were going against had heavy magic abilities. By the sounds of the reports from my time? They had memory eraser magic, an invigorating mage who basically is that person who draws you into something against your will, and a mage that could numb a person's senses so they couldn't do anything to retaliate. A lethal combination indeed! While I had the ability to go against them and not fall victim to their magic? There was still the matter of them being escaped convicts praying on those who have no way to tell them no.

A sinister act in my own mind. What judgement should I put here this time I wonder? It's not like any of this is easy! Laxus and his group would try to draw away at least two of the mages. With my help they were immune to the effects of their magic but it was for the best that I take on the one who makes people do things they don't want to do on my own since that way he'd not be able to use people around me to harm me or make them harm each other. At least that's the hope. Masquerading around as a blind nun did nothing to help me and let's not mention the fact that they'd more likely make me their target after seeing me, but that was the plan. A plan which I had not told anyone about.

This should be an easy task, but every part of me knew there was something more to this matter then ever meets the eye and that worried me. Someone was watching every move, but who? To make matters even more confusing. When I walked in the church those three men were laying dead in the center of the floor by the church alter! Nix was asleep in bed still as innocent as hours before! Someone got here before I did and killed only these men, but how did they know what these men were planning to do?

"Stop overthinking everything." A male voice said from the shadows. "It makes you seem frantic." As he stepped from the shadows I just looked him over behind the cloth. Golden hair, chocolate-brown eyes, a semi-masculine figure, and a cold aura shrouding over him. "Oh! And you should be thanking me. Coco and her family were transferred per my request to a house here in Magnolia where shifters are quite welcome." I was so confused. How the hell did he even know that my next mission would involve Coco and her family? "Oh come on! Don't tell me you haven't pieced it together? A person who knows every person you've gone and saved like the back of their hand, someone who can keep up with you and get ahead of you, who knows every situation that turned them to the dark side of magic." He walked in a circle around me. "Who knows the words to every clue you were ever sent." It was like a punch to the gut. I never told anyone about the notes and nor did the man who sent them to me which meant one thing in this all. "You really didn't think that I didn't have my own way to travel to the past? Seriously?" He was the mastermind behind the whole downfall of every guild member I lost in the future.

"You bastard!" I tried to lunge at him, but with a snap of his fingers I was frozen on the spot.

"Now now! That's no way to treat the man who just saved two of the most trained killers from the future. Now all that's left for you to save it me, but you don't know who I am so how's that going to go. Not saving me means I can go on in the future to find other people to hire!" I heard banging and yelling from the guildmates of mine outside. "Oh! They can't get in. This whole area of the church was set with a magic circle to go off the moment you entered. No one in and no one out." He walked around me again. "So tell me Lucy. What do you know about me?" This idiot pulled two chairs out and sat me in one while he sat in the other.

"Only that you're male and now that you look like this. That you love sending me on goose chases." That made him laugh.

"True. It's fun to watch dogs chase their tails." He leaned on his elbow. "So here's the deal Lucy Heartfillia. I'm bored of this game we keep on playing. You've saved basically every guild now in the future, but all of that will be for nothing if you don't save me. I can either help you out with that or we can keep playing! We've both grown tired of all of this though so we should really get this over with." Staring at him was all I could do.

"Yeah. I'm tired of our game! So tell me why the hell you're standing here helping me save these kids. Yourself included! You surely didn't have a change of heart by the seems of it. That's the last option of my guess'." He sighed.

"Well I'm intrigued to what life you'd give me." When he looked at me I only saw a broken little boy. "You've given so many of the kids I thought were irreparable some of the most happy lives I've seen people live. I want to see what exactly you'd do to help me. What would you do and what lengths would you go to to save me after finding out who I am? Long, short, fast, slow. What would you do after knowing my name? Would you hate my mother? Despise the people who tried to get rid of me? I really wish to know so by all means I won't be stopping you. I'll be helping because all I wanted as a child was to be introduced to the sister I never got to meet, and call the man who's supposed to be my father father for the first time. I'd help you in return for that, but I was a stubborn boy around this age. While it may be easy to bring me to them? Convincing the two would be a whole nother matter." Eyes darted to the ceiling. "All I want is to know the love of a family. Of this father and sister I've never met, but yet have watched from afar in the forest trees. This twin sister of mine whose voice I've heard, but only as she cried in agony. That's all I wish. For a family." He looked at me. "Now you can come with me, help me with this, fix me, and spend the last three years you and I have here smiling with that guild of yours," I searched his eyes found only truth. "Or go on another wild goose chase like it's all you'll ever be able to do." What option did I have?

Even though my friends were banging on that door?

Even though this man who now stand in front of a portal with hand outstretched to me?

I only know one choice! To finish my mission.
