"Well this was a mistake. It's true what they say-if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes." I shivered. The elevation plus everything being soaking wet was really getting to me. I didn't wanna admit it, but it was time to pack it in. "Dark, let's just go." I said, sounding dejected. "Don't beat yourself up about it. You tried." he replied. "I failed, too." "Come on, it's not that bad." I opened up the tent to see that we were slowly but surely getting flooded. "This area is prone to flash flooding, we should definitely get out of here." "Done." In what felt like a millisecond, we were in his living room with the tent and all of our supplies, still soaked, of course. "You couldn't have done something about the wetness?" I asked, sounding a bit more annoyed than what I meant to. "You've gotta specify." he replied, shaking off. I looked in my bag and found nothing of use. All of my clothes were soaked. "I have a washer and dryer you know." he said, looking over my shoulder. "Yeah, but that doesn't help me right now." I felt something land on my head. "Wear those." he said. "You're so much taller than I am, it's gonna look ridiculous." He laughed. "Fine, then...freeze." I changed into his clothes and sat on the couch. "Now what?"I asked. "You tell me. We can still go on your trip...it just won't be all natural." I thought about it. Camping in the living room is so tacky...I like it. "Sounds like a good idea...but everything is wet." "Not for long." he said, snapping his fingers. "Go ahead, let me know if it's missing anything." I crawled into our tent and noticed that everything was bone dry and perfect. I felt a presence behind me. "So...about you being all wet earlier." I pushed him. "Come on, mind out of the gutter for just one night." "You must've forgotten who I am." he replied, playing with my hair. "Who could forget you? Come on though, it's a nice night...let's just relax." The familiar sound of a tiny bell ringing caught my attention. "The cat wants in on this." I said. Dark looked out into the darkness and called for her. She came in and made herself at home in our mess of air mattresses and blankets. "Well we can't do anything with her watching." Dark muttered. "Nope...guess we'll just have to wait until morning." I teased. "You are so unbelievably lucky that you and I get along so well...otherwise I'd-" I cut him off with a kiss. That seemed to relax him a bit. "In the morning. For now, let's just pretend we're still in the mountains...with smores and a nice campfire." "I can light a fire." he replied. I laughed. "I know you can, but don't...not here. You'll burn the whole building down." He snorted. "So what?" I shook my head. "Goodnight, Dark." He narrowed his eyes at me. "You know something...it was a good night. Getting rained out was actually fun in a really boring, stupid way...and that hike was cancer." "You can teleport next time, I promise." "Next time, huh? So you're planning on tormenting me again?" "As if you'd have it any other way." I covered myself in blankets. Before too long, I felt a cat and a demon laying beside me. "You're not gonna flake on me tomorrow, are you?" "Of course not, Dark. We have the whole weekend to mess around." I said, drifting. "I like the sound of that." he replied.
