~Chapter lV: Fearing Russia~

Arthur

We stumble into my room after a long night on the town.

After our afternoon excursions, America had asked me on a romantic date and I said yes. He took me to a cute, little sidewalk café lit up only by small, white candles; the food was... beyond anything I've tasted. By the time we were done, the sun had set and the moon had risen.

"So, what now?" I ask as I hold on America's hand and lean my head on his shoulder. I feel so at ease being with him... as if, I actually know how to express myself to him. He turn's and kisses the top of my head.

"It's a surprise." He says whispering into my ear.

We walk along the Tiber River in the moonlight. America's arm is around my waist as we walk. We don't speak, we just take in the view of the sparkling water... and the beautiful villas near by.

"Alfred..."

"Yes?" He asks, stopping and looking at me; he is holding both my hands.

"Can I stay with you tonight?" I ask while putting my head on his chest.

He smiles while wrapping his arms around my waist. "Of coarse you can."

A slight breeze blows along the river in the night; we kind of dance there on that bridge. It's like a dream... being with someone you love in Rome, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, at night... I look up at Alfred, then close my eyes. His smooth lips meet mine and we just sway in the breeze.

Alfred

We just stand there on the bridge for a while after the kiss. In the background, we can hear the bells of a clock tower, ringing at midnight.

"We should get going." Arthur says with a large, cute yawn.

"Ok. Let's get going sleepy head." I chuckle, then we begin the long walk back to the hotel.

On the way back, we stop at a tea shoppe to grab some hot tea and coffee; instead, it does the opposite. For some reason, it makes us even more tired than before we drank them which is extremely weird. Maybe we are just a lot more tired than we thought.

When walking down the river again, I feel as if we are being watched but... who would be watching us at this time in the morning? I look around and see nobody... but that doesn't really surprise since it's pitch black out.

We return to the our hotel: Hotel Ponte Sisto Roma. For some reason, my body feels like it's burn up. It... doesn't feel... natural...

We stumble through the foyer to the elevator, laughing and giggling out the wazoo. I feel as if I drank 5 bottles of beer and it doesn't really feel that good; I can see Britain is feeling sick as well.

We barely make it back to my room without falling on our faces. I close the door and hold up Arthur as we walk to the bed but right in front of it, we trip. I land relatively on top of him; all we do is laugh.

I can see how sick Arthur is; his face is a bright red and he's sweat a little bit, kind of like what I feel. Arthur opens his eyes and looks straight into my eyes. His green eye shimmer in the pain of whatever wrong with us... but... there's something...

I can't resist... him... He closes his eyes and brings his head close and I do too; I can feel our legs intertwine. Right as we kiss, a huge bang occurs and we both jump staight off the bed. I hold Arthur close by as we hear the shattering of glass. We walk towards the window and look up... and see that a room 2 floors above, the window had been broken. All we saw was someone flying through the air with another person on their back...

We hear another scream and this is what makes us turn around to see what was on the desk. The sound of running starts ringing throughout the hotel as Arthur goes over to the desk.

"Did you write a letter Alfred?" He asks me while picking it up.

"No. Why? Who is it to?" I ask joining him at the desk; he flips over the envelope.

"You." I take it from Arthurs hands and open it slowly.

*Letter*

"You think your so strong America? We'll see about that..."

~I.

I look at Arthur confused. "What does this supposed to tell me?" I hand him the note.

He reads it over. "I don't know. But I have a feeling it's not going to end well."

This sends a shiver down my spine. I don't like the sound of that...

The next day we heard the news; Italy was kidnapped. Rumors have spread how Germany felt about him... and how vulnerable he is now... Nobody knew about their relationship... like... nobody knows about ours... Right? We accompany Germany around Rome as we look for Italy but we don't find him. All we see... is that at city hall... the Russian flag is flying.

Russia took Italy... I for Ivan... Ivan is coming after me and Arthur... I can feel it. This won't end well... for anyone... He took out Germany in one blow, now I'm the only one... who can stand up...

To him...
