The clock strikes midnight. The old father clock chimes 12 times. This marks the beginning. Three friends: Lily, Ella, and Ally stand forming a triangle. Seven candles lie in a circle surrounding the girls. A symbol is drawn in chalk on the floor. It's a triquetra. The three friends begin to chant:

My fears

Are locked in,

Boxed in.

So that again I can breathe

Release my fear.

Make it leave.

The girls repeat it over and over. Nothing happens. The decide to go to sleep without cleaning up the mess. While they sleep, the triquetra begins glowing and the one light on begins to flicker. Then nothing. All three of the girls have terrible nightmares of their greatest fears that night. Lily afraid of Jason from Friday the 13th, Ella afraid of malevolent spirits, and Ally afraid of Slenderman. If only they knew what tomorrow had in store for them.

The next day, the girls attended school as if nothing had happened the night before. They attended all of their classes in hopes to forget what a horrid night they all had had.

After school, Lily stood at her locker shuffling through what books she needed for her homework. Finally, she is ready to go home, but when she tries to exit the door is locked. She goes to the main entrance and tries. Its no use. That one is locked too. The door won't budge. She searches the building for anyone who can unlock the door. No one seemed to be around. Well, almost no one. At the end of the long corridor, Jason from the Friday the 13th movies stood with his giant machete in his had laid at his waist. He stares her down. She tries to scream but nothing comes out. Lily runs. Jason follows, walking. She's out of his sight. She knows that the exits are locked so she quickly hides in the room to her right. The janitor closet. She falls to the floor in fear. Something falls on her. She can just barely make out what it is. Or should I say who it is. Its the janitor, hit throat slit. She grabs her mouth to keep from making noise. Jason's footsteps echo in the empty building. Lily hears them getting closer and closer until they stop right in front of the door. The door handle begins to slowly turn...

Later that night, Ella is sitting in her room reading. Her parents are out of town and her older brother went to a party. She was waiting for her brother to come home. Her house had always felt creepy at night when she was the only one home. It would creak or a tree branch outside would scratch against the window. Ella knew if she thought about it too much, she'd freak herself out and would never hear the end of it from her brother. Out of nowhere, Ella felt a chill. She looks over at the window only to see that its closed. As she is about to go back to her book, she sees a dark shadow moving in the corner. Her heart begins to race. She leaps off of the bed. As quickly as she can she runs for her door and races down the stairs. She turns around and sees the dark figure following her. She runs for the front door but more dark shadows are blocking it. She turns around and see that her living room is filled with the beings. She starts to panic. There was no way out. She knew there was no way out. The figures get closer, surrounding her in a dark circle. Ella falls to the floor throwing her arms around herself for protection. The last thing she sees is darkness.

Ally awakes to a loud thump outside. She looks out the window but see absolutely nothing. As she turns away, she thinks she see something in the shadows, just beyond the street lights. Ally looks again, but still nothing. She gets back into bed but hear the thump yet again. This time she goes downstairs. She looks through the peephole on the front door. It was nothing but darkness. She swears she can still hear something out there, so she opens the door and steps out onto the porch. She steps off the porch into her yard and looks around until she stops cold in her tracks. She sees him, Slenderman. He was just standing there beneath a dimly lit street light. The light goes out just then. She doesn't move. Immediately the lamp comes back on. Except that the tall figure was gone. "My dream," she thinks. She tries to run inside but the door is locked. She pounds on it in hopes one of her parents would let her in. She peered inside. The only light was the tv which was on. For some reason it was all fuzzy. She turns around to try and see him. But only to se he was coming closer. She pounded harder and harder, yelling for her mother or father to let her in. She heard the porch creak beneath her and she freezes. A hand completely covers her mouth. Ally is struggling. Finally, she bites him and manages to wriggle away. She runs down the street, yelling for anyone to help her. No one hears her. At the same time, every street light she can see turns off. Running blindly through the streets, she trips on a crack in the sidewalk. Feet appear in front of her. She looks up to see a blank face. Ally screams.

In the distance, the old grandfather clock starts chiming.
