SCENE 1
INT. Child's Nursery. Night

Cassie is seen putting her child, Kara, back into her crib. She walks over to window, and pulls it shut. The light on the wall starts to flicker, but stops as the clock falls silent mid-chime. The street lights begin to flicker through the window and the curtains move as the breeze blows past them through the open window. Cassie walks over to the window, and closes it, while Kara just stares up at the roof. A small smirk making an appearance on her face. Cassie walks back to Kara , kisses her on the cheek, turns the light off, and walks out of the room.

SCENE 2
INT. Cassie's Kitchen. Night.

Cassie walks into the kitchen, where her mother, Mrs Robinson, is waiting for her while drinking a hot cup of tea.

THE MOTHER:
You put her in her crib?

CASSIE:
Yes mum. She'll be asleep in no time.

THE MOTHER:
You sure about that Cassy?

CASSIE:
Yes, I am. Why?

THE MOTHER:
Something doesn't feel right. Ever since that blasted man got you pregnant only to wonder off and never know, well it's like it has been hanging over this house waiting for the right moment to strike.

CASSIE:
What has been waiting?

THE MOTHER:
Let's go have a look at Kara, sweetheart.

Both of them walk out of the kitchen and towards Kara's nursery.

SCENE 3
INT. Kara's Nursery. Night.

Mrs Robinson stands above the crib, and her eyes turn yellow. Cassie is pinned too the wall and she feels herself sliding up to the roof until she is directly above her mother, and Kara's crib.

CASSIE:
Please. I'm begging you. Please. Don't do this mum. Please.

THE MOTHER:
I'm not your mother, honey.

Three drops of blood fall on Kara's pillow as Cassie's cries and pleas for mercy fall silent. Kara is lying in her crib, looking up towards her mother. Her slight smirk disappears, just as the fake Mrs Robinson does. As Cassie bursts into flames on the roof, the real Mrs Robinson walks through the nursery door.

MRS ROBINSON:
Who were you talking to sweetie? What's going-

She is cut short as she realises what is really going on. She runs to Kara's crib and grabs her before running out of the house and onto the lawn. She gets out her phone and dials 911. As she looks down at Kara and then back to her burning house, she makes a silent promise to herself.

No matter what happens, she will protect Kara with her life. She will treat her as her own daughter. And she will make sure she never feels lost, unloved or alone.
