18 - Decision

I heard the blaring sound of a phone. I found his ringing phone, and Tita Veronica was calling. He moved, irritated of the sound may be. So, I answered it.

"Blaze! Where are you?" I heard Tita Veronica from the other line.

I cleared my throat before answering, "Tita... si Zoey po ito."

"Oh, Zoey. Where's Blaze?" Her high-pitched voice lowered down.

"He's sleeping beside me, Tita," I replied.

"What time will you go here in Palawan?" Oh, shoot!

"Tita, I'll wake him up now, then we'll prepare na." I looked at Jax beside me, still sleeping, but there are slight creases on his forehead.

"Okay, Zoey. Don't forget to bring extra clothes." She reminded.

"Yes, Tita. Bye po."

I moved, and he suddenly woke up. I stood up and got my purse and phone on his table.

"Where... are you going?" Tumayo na rin siya at lumapit sa akin. Namumungay pa rin ang mga mata niya dahil sa biglaang pagkagising niya.

"I'll go home. Tita Veronica called a while ago and asked what time will we go to Palawan." I answered his question.

"Fuck! I thought you would not go, so I decided not to go too." He said as if it's not a big deal, but it is!

"Are you serious? It's your parents' wedding anniversary, and you'll miss it? We broke up but not to the point that you'll neglect everything, including your family." I looked at him, and sadness is evident in his eyes. I almost want to smack myself because of what I said a while ago.

"Sorry, Cali. Don't be mad." He held my hand.

Tumango na lang ako para hindi na kami mag-away. Or should I say hindi ko na siya awayin.

"Prepare your things now. Alis na ako." Before I can reach his door, he pulled me to him and hugged me.

"Jax, ano ba!" His embrace tightened, and I can't pull away.

"Five minutes only, baby. Let me hug you."

When he didn't answer, he took that opportunity to get my arms and wrapped them around his waist. He buried his head on my neck and lightly kissing it. Napapaigtad naman ako tuwing ginagawa niya iyon. Nang mahimasmasan ako ay marahan ko siyang tinulak pero hindi siya nagpatinag.

"Jax, we'll be late. Let go." I'm still pushing him gently, but he shook his head.

"No, Cali. I don't want to let you go. Not this time." I heaved a sigh, and I tapped his back. You're so hardheaded, Jax.

"Okay, okay. Come on. Tita will be upset if we'll come late. So we better get going." I tried again, and I succeeded. He let go of my arms after.

"I'll drive you to your house. I'll just prepare my things. I'll make it fast, baby." I nodded. He leaned forward and gave me a peck on my lips. Before I can reprimand him for what he did, he hurriedly went to the bathroom.

Minutes later, he went out of the bathroom and got ready. Akon a ang nag-ayos ng gamit niya habang nasa banyo siya kanina.

"Let's go, baby." I looked up at him when he spoke. I stood up and headed to the door. Before I can open it, he held my hand.

"Let me hold your hand, baby. I miss it. I miss you." He admitted.

Damn you, Blaze Jackson! You're making my heart beats faster.
