Connor's POV
She seemed so scared of me at the sight of my face. My mind raced back in forth at the thought of her. When we were younger I knew that she was mine, my queen and seeing everything that she went through I had no choice but to leave. The emotions I felt towards her began increasing with every passing moment and I couldn't take it. The day I realized that she was my mate was the best and worst moment of my life.
FLASHBACK;
" Mom come on were gonna be late to SO-So's birthday party" I say pulling my mom by the wrist attempting to get her closer to the door. "Mommy we have to go I have to be the first person that get's there to say happy birthday to her. Come on mom" with all my strength and anxiousness building up my face began transforming and my mood changed. I smelled the air and I knew that she was being hurt I felt the pain that she was feeling. Dropping my mothers wrist I sprinted out of the door using my speed going as fast as I could until I could hear her crying . My mother opened the door to see So-So falling heavily down the stairs.
I heard her mother scream as I walked closer to her and held her close to me like she was fragile. Blood began trickling and crashing to the ground. I was frozen into place thinking of what to do when someone reached to take her away from me. "She will be ok if we can get to a hospital" her mother softly cried while cradling her close as she raced to the car and speed down the road without a single word. "Mommy what if So-So's not ok w-what if she's hurt really bad and they can't fix her?"
END OF FLASHBACK
My childhood memories became flooded with memories of pain on both parts. Ever since that day I swore to protect her and never tell anyone what she went through. How could she stay so brave even after all the pain her father gave to her on a daily basis? On that day her childhood changed to hide away all emotions that she could feel, while my sprung to life after that very first incident. Bruises we both got from her father remain on our skin her's more than mine. I was a dick to leave her alone in that house with no one to protect her from that monster. But I had no choice to leave I couldn't stay in plain sight after everything. I need to explain it to her before she hates me more than ever I needed to tell her the truth before we left.
