Pride. It was finally here and I couldn't be more excited. Our whole group decided on black shirts with our flag of choice, with another flag of choice wrapped around our necks as capes.

Cole had a pan flag as a cape and on his black shirt which was just a regular tank. He also wore black skinny jeans and a pair of vans.

Sky had the aro flag as a cape and on her black crop top. She was wearing white high waisted shorts and knee length boots with her outfit.

Miah had the gender-fluid flag as a cape, and the poly flag on (we're going to switch to he/him pronouns for this chapter) his black halter top. He paired his with grey sweats and a pair of tennis shoes.

Quinn had the lesbian flag as a cape and on her black t-shirt. She paired hers with a black skater skirt and sandals. She also wore a flower crown with several shades of pink.

As for me, I had the gay flag as my cape, and the trans flag on my flowey crop top that hung off my shoulder slightly to show one of my binder straps. I paired mine with high waisted black shorts and black ankle boots. I also had a flower crown on though mine had the trans colors.

We were all crammed into Sky's car as she lived right at the beginning of the route to pick everyone up. She drove with Miah in the passenger seat. Quinn was behind Sky, Cole was center and I was behind Miah. We had a several hour drive ahead of us so we rented two hotel rooms for after.

The drive was filled with complaints over everyone's music choices, and arguments over the stupidest stuff. At one point Cole and I got in an argument over broadway musicals and which one is the best one. The others got tired of us complaining and threatened to take away our movie privileges when we got back if we kept it up. After that no one said a word.

At one point I put my earbuds in and let it play through my musical playlist. I didn't even notice I was falling asleep until everything was black, and I wasn't thinking anymore.

Cole's POV

Holy shit. He actually fell asleep on my shoulder.

After a few minutes of my gay panic™️, I pulled Kai into my lap and ran my hand through his hair as I stared out the window listening to my music playlist that currently was playing Nirvana.

I ignored the snickers of everyone else in the car and flipped them the bird when they started verbally teasing me.

——Timeskip to them being there——

We all filed out of the car and stretched. There were several grunts and groans, along with a certain someone *cough* Miah *cough* swearing like a sailor cause something popped.

Kai and Quinn were looking around in awe and gleefully talking about what they were most excited for.

Third Person POV

The group walked down the crowded streets as close together as they could manage. They'd occasionally stop at different vendors to browse before they'd move on.

There were people everywhere, it was all so crowded minus the center section of the road where the parade would soon be. The group were all talking amongst themselves and laughing at the smallest jokes. Their radiant smiles could be seen from miles away.

When it came time for the parade, the group claimed a section along the sides that was somewhat in the shade. Quinn ended up being perched up on Cole's shoulder as she is the youngest.

Cole's POV

With Quinn sat on my shoulders, and the parade before us, I almost had a distraction from my gay panic. Almost. Too bad Kai's eyes have been sparkling since we got here. Too bad he had never once stopped smiling. Too bad he wanted to see and do everything that pride had to offer, including one of those stupid kissing booths which I totally was not jealous of or anything that you can prove.

Now here's the story. Quinn's on my shoulders, Sky is next to me with her head leaning on what little of my shoulder she could manage, Miah was hanging all over Kai as the two of them were two of the giddiest people I knew. Quinn ended up catching a flower that was thrown to her by some girl with a wink, while myself on the other hand, was literally stabbed. Stupid parades. The others members of our group just sat and laughed at me as I scoffed at the now broken flower that had pelted my face just moments before. Sky noticed that I couldn't bend down, so she picked up for me and began wiping down the stem with her fingers before she turned to me with a shit eating grin.

"So you can finally shut up for once Hot Topic" she said as she put the flower stem in my mouth tango style. I glared at her and playfully shoved her as they all laughed again. Let's just say that broken flower is getting pressed when I get home. Not that it matters or anything.

A good ol' fashioned time skip to after the parade

Our group stayed where we were for awhile so that the streets could clear up a little, before we headed to the next big location. The stage to listen to some coming out stories.

Once again our group had to claim an entire little section to fit us all. We listened intently to the stories. Some sad, some happy, most a mixture a both. One person who told a story even proposed to their significant other and now here we are with everyone clapping.

"Alright everybody and here we have our last entry of the night. I hope everyone had fun tonight?!" The announcer yelled out to the crowd. Everyone cheered in response. "Anyways I'd like to introduce, Blake Robinson."

"Uhm, hi there I guess. My name is Blake, as you just heard. I am non-binary and I'm here to tell you all my story!" Blake said happily.

Blake, I noticed seemed really anxious to be up there, even though they tried not to show it. They wore more feminine style clothing as they were in a mid thigh length dress. Their hair was cut short and was died galaxy colors. They were beautiful actually. I took a moment to look around and the others see they were just as entranced by this newcomer.

"By the time I was 12, I knew something just wasn't quite right. I quickly realized it was because I wasn't quite right. I was born female, with the name of Brooklyn. My mother disappeared shortly after I was born and my father died when I was 8. By the time I figured out who I was, I was living with my grandmother. She was my saving grace in this world, the only one who understood me. She was the first person I told. She said to me and I quote, 'I don't care what you are as long as you don't get pregnant before you move out!'"
They laughed along with many others in the crowd.

"She also told me that she still loved me and that I shouldn't forget that I'm her favorite grandchild, albeit only grandchild. But of course, wherever I go, disaster follows. By the time I turned 15, three years later, she had gotten incredibly ill and had passed away. I was devastated, completely broken. I got into alcoholism and drugs for a short while. I was beyond depressed even spent a couple months in one of those rehab facilities. The put me in an orphanage for awhile until I was taken to the family I live with now. As in literally just got adopted a couple of months ago. My new parents took the news of my coming out surprisingly well, except for my brother who is starting now to get over it. My real  mother was never found and is presumed dead. So yeah, I believe that was the last of the loose ends to my story? I don't know anyways thank you." Blake did a small awkward bow before walking off the stage to another person, probably a friends as Blake collapsed in their arms as soon as they reached them.

I looked back at my group with tired eyes and an even more tired smile.

"How bout we head back to the hotel now?" I said being interrupted with a yawn. There were several lazy nods so I took that as our cue to leave. Quinn and Sky were knocked out, and Kai looked as if he'd fall over any minute. The only one who truly looked awake was Miah who looked as if he had just chugged a couple coffees. He was charged with cleanup duty as I had to carry the two ladies who were passed out and make sure Kai didn't fall on his face.

Short little time skip to the hotel

After what felt like forever, we had finally reached the hotel room. As soon as we were in, I placed (read: threw) sky and and Quinn on one of the beds before gracefully hopping (read: collapsed) into the other bed. Miah had sparked our on the couch by now and Kai was beside me already half asleep and staring at the wall.

Oh boy. This is going to be one hell of a night for the gay thoughts (read: thots)™️.

A/N- 1607 words. What a comeback chapter after how many months of leaving y'all hanging in this promised chapter?? Honestly I surprised myself with this one. I guess I just got inspired for once and no here we are. So thank you all for over a hundred reads and enjoy this chapter of almost 2000 words. It might be awhile before the next one again though I'm sorry jananansnaka. Also please ignore any grammar and or spelling mistakes. It's late and I'm not re reading right now to fix anything.
In other news: Hope y'all like Blake. You'll be seeing more of them. And the gay boys™️.
