*One week later*

Jughead's pov:

I was at the Whyte Wyrm with Toni and Sweet Pea. We were talking about me going back to school tomorrow. They were pissed that i was suspended and Archie wasn't but I tried to keep the peace between them. We didn't need world war three to break loose. We were playing a game of pool when we heard the doors swing open. Fangs cam running in.

"Jones, someone was following me." Fangs said trying to catch his breath.

"Okay guys no serpent stands alone, be aware, I need two people at guard of the doors, and make sure weapons are handy if needed." I said trying to keep people calm. Everyone got there switch blades ready and serpents stood guard at the door. we continued on with out activities. An hour later we assumed it was safe to put away the blades. After a while I heard a loud slam. I pulled out my blade and everyone did the same.

"Fangs, take cover." I whispered. He followed my directions and got down behind the counter. I quickly turn to make sure he is undercover, when the doors swing open. Gun shots begin to fire.

"Get down!" I yell as everyone try's to take cover. I jump behind the bar trying to find more weapons to guard the serpents and I. I crawl over to the counter where fangs is trying to see if he is okay. The shots slowed down and eventually stopped. Fangs slowly began to rise up.

"Fangs no stay down." I whisper trying to pull him down but he didn't listen. He stood up all the way and that's when you heard the final shot. Fangs fell to the ground right beside me. I rush over and put my hands on the wound but it is bleeding to much. I try to find my phone but it fell out when I jumped over the counter.

"Somebody get help!" I yelled. At this point I didn't care about me anymore. I just wanted fangs to be alright. I see Toni run over to me.

"Jughead they are gone" she said but soon pausing in her sentence.

"Toni get help!" I yell again still trying to stop the bleeding. Toni rushed over to her phone and calls 911. When the call is finish she helps apply pressure. More people ran over to help and soon enough the police and ambulance finally came. They took fangs in the ambulance but wouldn't allow anyone else in. I quickly scanned the premises to see if anyone else was hit during the open fire. No one else was. I quickly hoped on my motorcycle and hurried to the hospital. All I could hope for was that fangs would survive. We didn't need a fallen serpent.

Betty's pov:

I was sitting on my bed reading when my phone began to ring. I walked over to my dresser where it was sitting and picked it up to see who was calling. I saw that it was Jughead so I answered.

"Hey Juggie." I said smiling.

"Betty there was a shooting at the whyte whyrm and fangs was shot, i'm on my way to the hospital can you meet me there." He said trying to yell. He was hard to hear from the outside sound on his motorcycle.

"Oh my god jug are you okay." I asked starting to panic.

"I'm fine I just need you to come to the hospital please." He said as he hung up the phone. I grabbed my keys and headed towards the hospital. When I pulled up, I hopped out of the car and rushed into the building. I ran to the waiting room where I assumed Jug would be. I ran into the room and saw Jug sitting in the waiting room chair, his head was down and he was holding his hat. He was surrounded by other serpents waiting to here news on Fangs. I rushed over to Jughead.

"Juggie." I said running over. He looked up and stood up. I pulled him into a hug. He held me tight and we sat there for a minute or two.

"Thank you for coming Betty, I needed you here." Jughead said trying to stay strong.

"Anytime Jug." I said. We both sat down and waited for what seemed like hours. After about an hour the doctor came out.

"which one of you is Jughead Jones." Jughead stood up and so did all the other serpents.

Jughead walked over to the doctor.

"well is he okay." Jughead asked.

The doctor looked Jughead in the eyes and then looked down. I looked over at Jughead as his face went completely blank.
