Coal POV

I rock up to the school with my best mate and team mate, Ryder
"Ry, you sure this place is safe?" I ask him, my wolf ears twitching from doubt as I look at the building. It is a very grandiose building, luxurious too.
"Coal, relax. We're totally fine. You think Qrow would stitch up his two best scouts?" he says and I laugh
"Fair enough" I reply, we get into an elevator, I put my weapons, Ebony and Ivory on my back as we enter. And there he is, the man, the myth, the legend. Mr Ozpin
"Ah Coal, Ryder, come in come in" he says as he welcomes us in, we walk in as I look around. My eyes naturally trained to look for escape roots, and weak points. And he seems to notice this
"Coal, your not under threat, calm down" he said and it made me chuckle nervously
"Sorry sir, its just intinct" I say in defense and Ozpin laughs
"So qrow tought you well" he says as he looks at us both
"Well he is one of the best" Ryder said and Ozpin smiled
"And thats why you both are one of the best Scouts in remnant" he says and I smile
"So why are you hiring us?" I ask now curiously, and then i hear the elevator ding and I turn around to see who it is. 
"Ah Qrow, i wondered when you would show up" I say, greeting my mentor
"Good to see you Coal" he says as he walked in
"What your being hired for is a very dangerous mission, rumour has it that some people are actually working for the white fang have got into the school, and are after team RWBY. You'll stay in this school until they are dead or team RWBY is officially declared safe. Understood?" he asked, his voice sounding more serious
"Yes sir" Me and Ryder both reply as we get out dorm key
"Your dorm will be opposite the team you are protecting" we both nod before walking out.

Blake POV

I'm just relaxing at the window, reading my book. I look up and see two students walking around the court yard, and toward the dorm complex. The taller one out of the two caught my attention. A grey beanie on his head, his shaggy brown hair hanging from it. His natural gold eyes cutting through their surrounding, He is in a long cut shirt, some skinny jeans and some high tops. One thing that catches my eyes the most is his beanie. it was twitching every so often... Is he a faunas? I hear the the dormitory complex door open and I walk out into the halls to see him entering the dorms in front of me.
"H-hey" I stutter, god why am I stuttering? he turned around and I see his eyes dart around my body and face before focusing on my eyes.
"Heya" he smiles, god he was charming too. This may end very bad. I offered him a handshake
"My names Blake, nice to meet you" I say as he shook my hand
"The names Coal, nice to meet you too" he said and we looked at each other, like we was telepathically talking. Then the rest of my team mates come out he shakes his head, snapping out of his day dream
"Who are these" he asks as he smiled at me, causing me to blush slightly
"I'm Ruby"
"Weiss Schnee is the name"
"The names Yang Xiaolong cutie" she says, me not liking it at all. Another boy walked over 
"Harem already Coal?" he says causing Coal to blush and me to laugh slightly
"Everyone, this is my dickhead partner Ryder" he said and Ryder huffed
"Fuck you t-" he says as a bullet shot cuts him off, it grazing Coal's cheek as he growled, taking his duel sawed off shotguns off his back. Walking to where it came from
"Ry, make sure the girls dont leave their room"
"Let us help you" Yang retorts
"No, your staying in that room and thats final" he said and yang looks taken aback by his dominance and authority. Ryder shuffles us into the room and I see through the key whole a snapped white fang mask laid on the floor, then blood trickling to it as Coal opened the door, his clothes stained with blood.
"What the-" I say shocked
"Coal you have some explaining to do!" Yang says, angry that she did't get to fight. She went to slap him but he grabbed Yangs hand and tossed her onto her bed
"Well to cut a long story short, White Fang members have some how managed to get into the school, and have been ordered to kill you on sight. We've been hired to stop that from happening" he says as he looks at his phone, I managed to capture a glimpse of his bank. +50,000! Godamn! 
"Is that why your in the dorm in front of us" Ruby asks and Ryder nods
"Well Ladies, i think we better be going" he says opening the door to leave
"G-goodbye Coal"I stutter, mentally face palming as he looks at me for a second, then thats stupid charming smirk comes back before walking out. His partner followed.. When the door shut I could feel all eyes turn to me
"What was the stutter about?" Ruby asks and then Yang and Weiss look at each other, then laugh
"She has a crush on him Dolt!" Weiss declares as I blush a thousand shades of red as Yang laughs.
"That Ryder boy doesn't look bad either" Yang says as she smirks. I giggle as I walk out to go get a drink from the shop

Coal POV

I walk into the dorm, then sigh deeply.
"She's the one" I say as I throw my bag on my on the bed
"Not so fast wolf boy" Ryder replies and I look at him confused
"What do you mean" I ask inquisitively 
"2 problems with her, one. Qrow said not to get emotionally attached to the person/ people you are protecting. And 2, she's a cat Faunus" I spat the water out I was drinking. I didn't care about what Qrow said when it came to love, but a cat faunus
"Cat faunus?! How did you find out?" I say, now curious
"Well I saw her bow twitching, and I know you can smell other wolves, and you weren't acting dodgey, so she has to be a cat Faunus" he says and it all makes sense. Did she know I was a wolf... I shook my head
"That dont matter, she's still the one" I say, getting ready to go grab something to eat
"Think logically about this Coal, w-"
"Shut it! I'm going after her and thats final!" I shout loosing my temper, walking out the dorm and slamming the door, going to the closest vending machine.
