CALLIE morena isn't a dumb girl, quite the opposite actually. she's very intelligent. graduated top of her class in high school, got scholarships to multiple colleges, never, ever failed at anything education related. so looking back at the past year, shes looked like a fool, a fool to fall into a pretty boys' trap, to never crawl out of. they say the one that has the book smarts usually doesn't have the common sense. callie doesn't like to put herself into a stereotype, because she's not that type of girl, but if that was considered a stereotype, she's the dictionary definition of it. maybe she's too trusting, sees the good in too many people. she's lost so many friends over a dumb boy.

AUSTON matthews has a reputation. he's has a reputation before he even got drafted in the nhl. he had a reputation when he was playing for the u.s development team. auston wouldn't call himself heartless, maybe an asshole, but not heartless. because the truth is that underneath the "tough hockey guy" persona, he's young. he's a 20 year old hockey player with too much money for someone his age. it's not his fault that girls fall for it. ask any of his friends and they'll tell you he always bitches about wanting a girl who "didn't wanna be with him for his money or fame"

MOVING to a different country is intimidating, to say the least, especially at 19. the farthest callie morena has ever been was colorado for a family trip, so when she says this is the farthest she's ever gone, she's not lying. going from los angeles to toronto is a long distance, and callie's life is deeply rooted in family. she got to toronto 2 days ago, and she was homesick the second the hugged her mom and dad goodbye at the airport. she chose this, though. the university of toronto had the biggest, and brightest opportunities to callie, and that was not something she was going to pass up. but, that also meant being in a new city, a new country with no friends or family, and knowing no one. she had to end her contract with her agency, due to not living in LA anymore, and that sucked. modeling was her passion, but she'd figure all that out later. right now, she's determined to focus on herself.

AUGUST for auston matthews meant getting back on the ice everyday. after a very eventful summer in the sunny and warm arizona, he was ready to get back into a set routine, not used to having so much free time to himself anymore. being a professional athlete was weird. especially playing hockey, where the season felt like it lasted all year, and it basically did, though, going back to toronto made he melancholic, because summer was the only time he saw his friends from back home. it was hard, but he's gotten used to it. toronto had become a second home to him, his team became a second family to him. he was excited to see mitch and freddie after months of only facetiming. he wanted to hear about the dumb shit mitchy did in real life. despite how good everything was last year, he wanted something new, he wanted some change, and boy would he get it.
