Royalty Or Loyalty?

Chapter 21

As the night continued Mal and Ben had left the party and made thier way back to the enchanted lake while Carlos and Audrey were at the Tourney Feild.

"Ben what if I don't belong here?" Mal questioned as she was looking down.

"Mal you do belong here." Ben replied. "Your mother made her choice to be evil but you don't have to be." He added as he figured that she was thinking she had to be evil because her mother was.

"I understand that but I just don't feel like I belong here. Practically everyone hates me." She said in response.

"Mal nobody hates you here." Ben replied. "Even Audrey likes you." He added.

"No she doesn't." Mal responded as she was in denial.

"Yes she does." Ben replied. "She's with one of your best friends Mal." He added.

"Ex best friend." Mal said simply.

"Oh come on Mal you two will get back to being best friends just give it a try." He said as he put his arm around her.

Meanwhile Carlos had his arm around Audrey as they were looking at the stars.

"This is such a beautiful night." Audrey said with a smile as she rested her head on Carlos's shoulder.

"Yeah it is just like you babe." Carlos said with a smile.

Audrey smiled and started blushing. "Awww thanks Carlos." She replied.

"Of course." Carlos replied as he held Audrey close to him.

"So you excited for the Coronation?" Audrey asked.

"Kind of." Carlos replied. "And excited isn't the word I'd use." He added. "The word I'd use is scared." He said.

"Why scared?" Audrey asked?

"Because I don't know if Mal is gonna try to steal the wand or not." He said.

"Well how about you,Jay and Evie all try to talk to her and convince her not too." Audrey suggested.

"That might actually work." Carlos responded.

Meanwhile back in the Enchanted Forest Mal looked right at Ben as she had an idea.

"Um Ben can we at all go over to the museum? I wanna check out my mother's statue." Mal said as she looked at him.

"Uh sure." Ben replied.

The two got up and began to walk out of the Enchanted Forest. As the two were walking Ben looked over at Mal.

"So why do you wanna see your mother's statue?" Ben questioned.

"I just miss her." Mal said. "I've never been this far from her." She added.

All of a sudden Carlos ran up to them with Audrey in the distance. As he got close he stopped and looked at both of them.

"Uh Ben can I talk to Mal alone real quick?" Carlos asked as she looked at Ben.

"Oh of coruse." Ben said as he looked at Carlos. "I'll be at the museum when your done." He said as she looked at Mal then kissed her cheek.

As Ben walked off Mal looked at Carlos. "What do you want DeVil?" She asked.

"Look I know your still planning on stealing the wand and-" Carlos was quickly cut off by Mal.

"And what? Your gonna try to convince me to change my mind so that way you and that pretty pink boyfriend stealing bitchy princess can be happy together?" She questioned as she looked at him. "Well guess what? Not only am I not gonna change my mind I'm gonna make sure once my mother and I take over this place we make that little "girlfriend" of yours pay!" She said

"Come on Mal." Carlos said.

"No. Look maybe if you were still my boyfriend your opinion would matter to me." She said. "But your not so your opinion doesn't mean shit to me." She added. "Also just to remind you because you've clearly forgotten. You're still evil okay? You're  still rotten to the fucking core and it doesn't matter what happens you and Audrey can get married have a family whatever but you'll forever be a villain kid! You'll forever be rotten to the core! And you'll forever be a pathetic scared little boy who I terrified on the Isle all the time!" Mal yelled before shoving him onto the ground.

As Carlos hit the ground Mal walked off and walked straight over to Ben and Audrey ran over to Carlos and helped him up.

"I'm guessing it didn't go so well?" Audrey questioned?

"Well let's see she pushed me on the ground so no it didn't." Carlos said as he looked at her.

"Well what else can we do?" Audrey questioned.

"I've got one idea." Carlos replied. "We tell Ben everything." He said.

"Wait are you serious?" Audrey asked as she looked at him.

"Yes I'm serious because if he breaks up with Mal she won't be near the wand and hopefully we will be able to stop her long enough to make sure she can't get anywhere near the wand." He said as she looked at her.

"What if it doesn't work?" She asks.

"Then we are screwed." He replied.

Meanwhile Mal had reached the museum and had talked Ben into letting her go see her mother's statue alone.

Once she arrived in the room with her mother's statue and took a deep breath and closed her eyes then opened them.

"Mother I know you can't exactly hear me but please just try to give me a sign on what I should do." She said as she looked up at her mother's statue. "I wanna take over the world just like you wanted but my feelings towards Carlos are getting bigger and I don't know how much longer I can fight them mother." She added as she kept looking at the statue. "Just give me a sign please." She said.

All of a sudden Evil Queens statue started laughing which made Mal look right at her. Once Mal looked at her she stepped back a bit as the statue was alive.

"Oh you sweet dumb girl." Evil Queen said as she looked at her. "A boy won't make you happy just forget about that Carlos." She said with a laugh.

"Forget about Carlos?!" Cruella said as her statue came to life shocking Mal. "Why doesn't she just forget your girl Evie?" The dog crazed woman said.

"My Evie?" Evil Queen said. "They've been friends forever!" She said.

"Oh Cruella don't argue." Jafar suddenly said leaving Mal wondering what's happening. "Granted I mean that's the only thing your good at." He said.

"Oh shut it lamp boy." Cruella said.

"You shut it!" Jafar said.

"Both of you shut up." Evil Queen said.

All of a sudden the room was filled with Maleficents signature laugh. "All three of you shut up!" She yelled as she began to walk up to her daughter. "Evil is the way to go my darling. Boys aren't what got you to where you are." She said. "You're evil. Just like you told Carlos you will always be rotten to the core." The horned woman said.

"How did you-" Mal was quickly cut off.

"Mother's know everything." Maleficent said before going back to where she was. "Now go!" She yelled.

Mal fell back a bit then ran down the hall and turned the corner then stopped and looked back around the corner and everything was back to normal.

"What the hell was that?" She asked herself quietly.
