Camila is officially my girlfriend. Wow it feels so good saying it. The day after I asked Camila, I told my parents apparently they already suspected some between us. But they approved. They talked to me about how our stay was only for limited time. I told them my decision about staying here in Miami. My mom screamed to the heavens saying I was crazy and obssesed. I confessed them my true feelings for Camila, something I haven't confessed to her yet. My parents agreed giving me till December to be settled in with a job and an apartment, if not I would have to go back to LA. I couldn't thank them enough. I went out looking for jobs and was given the job of a waitress at Denny's. With my check plus the tips I would have enough for an apartment in no time.
Today my family was going back home. My dad kept on reminding me about our deal and how not to do anything stupid with Camila. My mom and Taylor cried a river knowing I wouldn't be going back home with them while dad and Chris hugged me goodbye.
As I got back from the airport I was told Sandra and Mariel went back to school shopping with Camila. Since this was their senior year they wanted to look good on the first week of school because they weren't even going to try to look good until graduation.
They lasted five hours at the mall and they all came back with thousands of bags. "What happened to only looking good the first week?" Mariel rolled her eyes. "Uggh Lauren I don't plan to look like a hobo when I go out on the weekends" I got up from the couch and made my way towards the guest room where I would be staying. "Ok have fun I'm going to bed" I stopped by Camila pulling me back and pecking my lips. "You forgot your good night kiss babe." I smiled she's cute and I love when she calls me babe.
With my uncles out working and my cousins and girlfriend at school I stayed home alone till noon when my shift started. I was only able to see Camila during the weekends when I didn't work and she didn't have shool. I worked an eight hour shift and got off late when it was dark.
I was so stressed out with my job and looking for an apartment close to Camila. When I did find one, it didn't make things easier. I rode my bike that my Aunt gave me to work. I wad embarrassed that I couldn't take Camila to the movies or a nice restaurant with only a bike.
It was October and since this is Miami the heat never really went away. My parents found out I had been riding a bike to work for the past two months. They sent my uncle some money to buy me a car here. They didn't even ask me if I wanted it they just left it parked outside and my uncle shoved the keys in my hand and left.
With the car things were some what easier. I was able to take Camila dinner and on dates. I also didn't arrive to work tired form the pedaling.
It was December and my parents were flying here to see if I completed my part of the deal. I picked them up from the airport at took them to my apartment where they would be staying with me. "Wow mija I'm impressed. This is a really nice place you got here." My dad said looking around my living room. "Yeah I'm proud of you baby." "Thanks mom" We sat down on the couch and I told them how I was doing here.
