22.
My mouth opens to say something, but I know that if any words come out they won't make any sense. I'm nervous— so nervous that my knees feel weak. I'm gripping the door knob with all my strength as if that will save me.
To make matters worse, the silence of just staring at each other is interrupted by the sound of the shower spitting out water from inside the bathroom. Oh my God.
I try to control my expression, but I can't. My eyes go wide and I want to hide my face and die. I'm relieved to see that they don't notice what I'm hearing— yet.
"Hi," I manage a grin.
"Jae!" Taehyung smiles happily at me.
It's odd to see him in person. I'm watching him walking towards me and I feel like it's slow motion. I have been ogling and supporting him for so long, and now I'm in the predicament in which he is my boyfriend's best friend and bandmate.
"Tae!" I reciprocate and we're hugging.
Unlike my hug with Jimin, this hug is something more. I've been talking to Tae for a few weeks and we have created a friendship that I want to work on. As I keep mentioning things I want to better, I realize that my list of to-do's keep piling up. Taehyung is near the top of that list.
"Finally!" He is smiling so wide and it's contagious. My cheeks are hurting.
My arms fit around him easily and he is squeezing me tight. Taehyung is taller than me and much more adorable in person if that was somehow possible. His emotions match his personality so well that it's scary. His smile does look like a small box just like the memes.
"I'm Jae," I introduce myself to Yoongi.
I try to ignore the fact that my heart is racing. I keep reminding myself that I should not be reacting this way to them. The last thing they need is for a fangirl to be with them during their private and personal schedule.
In a twisted turn of events even Yoongi steps in to hug me. It's a short and sweet hug— modest and shy just like him. His smile is soft and cute.
"It's very nice to meet you," he says softly.
