A/N: A double update cause I'm feeling frisky and there's a surprise in this chapter! Seeing things differently this time around.

My daughter was sitting at the table crying while Dom and Cara were red in the face and in each other's face.

"Come here, ven mi niña. It's gonna be okay baby." I told her as I glared at the adults and carried her out of the kitchen.

"Momma, why was daddy yelling at madrina Cara? They were yelling and saying bad things to each other." she said, making my anger roll.

"They were just messing around baby, I'll go make sure they don't do that again okay."

"Okay, they scared me." she said softly.

"It's okay baby, momma's gotta talk with them so I'm gonna turn the tv on for you. What do you want to watch?"

"Peppa!"

"Okay baby, here we go. Momma will be right back."

I waddled angrily into the kitchen where the two idiot adults were still glaring at each other. For my daughter's best interest I told myself to keep my voice down and I honestly tried to do so.

"What the hell is wrong with the two of you? Shouting and going at each other in front of her?" I demanded.

"Why the hell did you leave the house? Without telling me?" he demanded.

"Because she doesn't want to see your lying, cheating ass face." Cara said.

"Cara! I don't have to tell you what I do Dom, we are no longer together. Giving back your ring should've been notice enough. Now lower your voices!"

"She's my daughter, I have a right to know where she is." he argued.

"Now you want to worry about that? Go worry about where Elena is Dom, she's obviously looking for you again."

"That is over, it was a mistake and it's over. I've been ignoring her calls for two months now, please Kaylee let's talk." he said.

"Nothing to talk about, you cheated and I found out. There's no going back from that."

"Yes, yes there is. I can prove that you can trust me again, I swear I will. It's not what you think."

"No, there's nothing for you to prove." I told him.

"Don't say that . . . don't say that. I made a mistake and I . . . can we speak alone please?" he pleaded.

"Cara, can you go watch Bree? Please, make sure that she doesn't come into the kitchen."

"Are you sure?" she asked worriedly.

"Positive, I need to get this over with."

"Okay, I'll be just in the other room."

"Kaylee, I'm sorry. I didn't want you to find out like that, okay and that was my bad but I love you, I don't want to lose you. I will work as long as you need me to - to prove that you can trust me."

"I can't trust you Dom, I can't do this again. I'm never going to be enough for you, I don't understand why I'm not enough for you. I will never understand why I can't make you happy enough to be happy with just me." I told him as the tears started to pour, damn pregnancy.

"You are enough, you are more than enough babe. I love you! I need to prove my worth and my loyalty and I will do that but don't leave the house please. Don't take my daughter away from me."

"I'm not going back so you can just go and get Elena. I'm sure she'll be happy to see you."

"Damn it Kaylee! Nothing happened between us. Yes, I was seeing Elena but it's not what you think I swear. I saw her a few times and . . ."

"I don't believe you . . . I can't and I certainly don't want to know when or how many times it happened. You hurt me again Dom and there's no coming back from that."

"There is, there has to be! Kaylee, you are the love of my life and the kids are the light of my life, I can't lose you because I was stupid. Please Kaylee, come back home." he pleaded.

"You can spend some time with Aubrey before she goes to bed but I'm staying here and you're going."

"Kaylee . . ."

"Take advantage of your time with Aubrey because she starts school this week. She lost more than enough time while she was in the DR. She turns five this summer and she'll be in Kindergarten next year because of all of the time that she lost so I want her to take advantage of her school time."

"Please let me make this up to you, let me prove to you that we make a good couple, a good team. Baby, let me explain and make it up to you. I don't want to lose my family." he pleaded.

"You should take advantage of the time you have with Bree before she goes to bed." I replied, before leaving the room.

"Bree baby, go to daddy." Cara said softly.

"Okay. I love you momma." Bree said, placing a kiss on my belly.

"Love you too mi niña. What am I doing to her?" I asked Cara.

"Showing her that you don't have to take a man's shit just because he's a man."

"I love him."

"I know you do."

"I don't want to forgive him."

"Then don't but I know you will. What the two of you have is too big and too bright to just let go, but make him suffer first."

"That's the thing Cara, I don't know if I can forgive him. I don't know if I should, I can't let this sort of thing just keep happening."

"Do you love him?"

"Yes, of course I do, I just told you this."

"Is he a good man? A good father?"

"Absolutely on the good father, good man is doubtful right now."

"Can you see your life five, even ten years from now without him?"

"I . . ."

"Yes or no?"

"No, no I can't see it without him."

"Give it time, let yourself heal. He can't expect you to just forgive and forget."

"I don't want to forgive or forget, I refuse to stay with a man who doesn't respect me or his family. Sleeping with another woman is a disrespect to his daughter just as much as it is to me."

"You're reaching and you know it."

"No I'm not. I'm staying here from now on and he's not, he can't. I will have my space from him and that relationship. There's so much more to it, I don't think we want the same things anymore anyway."

"What are you on about now?"

"I'm done with this life Cara. I'm a mother to what's going to be two children come a few weeks and I don't want to risk my children's life. I want this life to be over and I'm not sure he wants that for himself."

"He'd do anything for his family, even I know that."

"This is what he's been doing since he's a teenager C, it's his life and his livelihood. He's got this in his blood, gasoline in his veins instead of blood. He lives for this life, I know what Mia felt like when she thought that she was losing Brian. The difference is I let go before I lost, knowing that I was going to lose him."

"You don't know that."

"I could see it in his eyes C, coming home to a family and waking up to go to the garage isn't fulfilling him. He goes to races and spends all night there, he doesn't come back until super late in the morning on weekends. It's best that things ended this way before anyone got really hurt."

"That's just your anger and your hurt talking, because I know that you don't really believe that things were going to end that way."

"Hey, she's tired. Can I take her up to bed?" Dom asked suddenly.

"Please momma, he's gonna read me a story." Bree pleaded.

"Of course, don't forget to brush your teeth first. Buenas noches mi niña, I'll go up to give you a kiss in a few." I told her.

"Go daddy, go!"

DOM'S POV

"Go daddy, go!" Bree shouted.

"Let's go." I replied, walking up the steps with her in my arms.

My little girl, it's gonna feel so weird going home to an empty house but I looked for it . . . it's my own fault. I have to figure out a way to prove myself, my loyalty, to my family. I screwed up and I'm going to lose it all unless I figure something out. I can't lose my family, it's the best thing that has happened to me, the best thing that I have right now.

"Daddy, when are we going home?" Bree asked me as we walked to the bathroom.

"Soon baby, daddy's gonna work on it."

"Why are we here?"

"Momma is mad at me, I did something . . . bad and I have to make it up to momma."

"Do you love her?"

"I love you and momma and the baby with all of my heart. With everything that I have in me."

"Do you love momma more than the cars and the life?"

"What?" I asked my daughter, shocked to hear those words come out of her mouth.

"I hear her say that to madrina."

"I love her and you more than any car and any life."

"The new baby too?"

"Absolutely, I can't wait for the new baby to be here. You're gonna help momma and me with the baby right?"

"Yeah!"

"Okay, brush your teeth so I can take you to bed."

She thinks I love the life more than I love her. How the hell did I do this to my family? When the hell did I do this to my family?

After Aubrey finished I took her to her room and read one of her many books to her. She takes after her mother in that aspect, the girl loves her books. Takes after her mom in the looks department and thank God for that, although I have a feeling I'm not gonna be so grateful once she turns into a teenager.
