The only thing I could think about was this moment. His lips found suddenly pressed softly against mine.
My eyes were completely wide with shock, like a petrified animal, but then they closed. Butterflies erupted through my stomach and I felt my cheeks heat up as he released, removing his hands from my cheeks. I longed for his hands to stay there, feeling cold.
I couldn't look up at his face anymore, but I'm sure he was so confident if he could kiss a girl he barely knew and then look at her like nothing happened. Adjusting my black beanie uncomfortably, I managed to utter some words. "Why did you do that..." It only came out in a tiny stammer. Just as he opened his mouth to answer, Alex walked back.
"Miss me?" Alex asked with a chuckle as he sat next to me, leaving no more space left on the sofa. Braden checked the time on his phone, and then looked back up. From the short glimpse I got, the time was 6:30 and the screen reflected the hint of Bradens eyes dimming. He had to leave soon.
after a few more minutes of talking, Braden finally announced he had to leave. We said an awkward goodbye and as the front door closed, I faced Alex. "He kissed me, Alex. He kissed me.."
