RECAP:

"You will meet the kidnapper at midnight in the park. Then when you have the girl back, we will come, take him in, you get your money back. And everyone is happy” she said, and turned to walk out the door.

NOW:

Walking to the bench near a tree, I sat down and waited for them to show up. As I heard a whistle I jolted up to stand. Looking to where the noise came from I saw a man dragging a girl behind him. The girl didn’t look so well with messy hair, and blood on her. Immediately I let out a sigh of happiness just to see her again. “Here with the money!” he called over. He was standing maybe 50 feet away from me.

“She comes here first!” I yelled back. Looking at him, he sight heavily.

“You come forward with the money, and she comes forward to you at the same time” he called, pushing her forward. She whimpered as she hit the cold snow in only leggings and a T-shirt. Walking forward I kept a good eye at both her and the man in ski-mask, as I at the same time fiddled with the gun in by pocket. As I met her at the middle I said to her “Go back, I'll give him the money and we can leave”. She nodded and continued to limp back to where I sat earlier. Bringing the suitcase forward and placing it on the ground I stepped back. “You can take it now. Can we leave?” I asked.

“Nope, you really don’t think I would let you walk out of here for free, did you?” he asked with a teasing voice, like he knew how desperate we were to get out of here. To leave, and never come back. He pulled a gun out and pointed it at her.
