* Carter's POV *
" Carter can we get some Subway before we go! " Matthew said in between kisses with Lexi from the back seat.
" No. We're supposed to meet Cam at the movies and we're already late cause you took forever! "
" It's okay babe we can watch Netflix and eat Subway later! We can eat all the subway you want .. Hey who's sweater is this? " Lexi said laughing kissing him on the cheek then picking up a Hello Kitty sweater.
" Ew! Gross, you guys make me sick. " My friend Nash said. Nash is Cam's roomate and a good friend of mine.
" Oh, and that sweaters Melanie's? I think that was her name. " Nash had said.
" How do you even know who that is Nash, most of us just met her? I hardly know the girl! " Matt asked.
" Yeah.. how do you know her? " I asked looking at him.
" Oh, s- " before Lexi screamed.
" CARTER! " Lexi screamed out and I slammed on the breaks. I had almost hit another car, I accidently ran a stop sign.
" Everyone okay? " I asked out of breath and scared out of my mind.
" Yeah.. " Everyone said at once.
We got to the movies, safe and unharmed. As we looked around inside, Lexi had said " Ouh! Thrisha and Jack on date! I ship! I ship them so hard! " She said pointing them out in line for the concession stand.
" Hey Jack! I didn't know you were going to be here. " Nash said to him as we all walked up to the line.
" Yeah, just on a double date. "
" Double date? " I asked.
Then Cam walked up, " Hey Carter, I didn't know you invited Melanie?? "
I froze in confused, but right after Cam had said that I saw Shawn and Melanie walking from the bathroom together.
" Double date? " I asked again.
" Oh, no um it's not really a double date, it's more of friends hanging out together.. but a date for Jack and I. Melanie just invited Shawn because she didn't wanna be alone. " Thrisha noticed I had been starring at Mel and Shawn and tried to explain the situation.
Melanie and Shawn soon walked over to join us. " Hey Carter! " Melanie said smiling at me.
I looked over at her but just ignored her. " Shawn? How do you even know her, how Nash even know her??? " I was extremely confused and wanted answers.
" Oh! That's what I was gonna say before we almost got into an accident. When I used Shawn's phone the other day to call someone, I noticed he had called Melanie and her contact picture was them two and she was wearing her Hello Kitty sweater. " Nash explained.
" You almost got into an accident?! " Melanie asked with concerned.
" Shawn why did you call her? How do you even know her? " I found myself even more confused and in tgis over protective mode.
" I'll explain later.. " Lexi whispered to Mel.
" Mel and I go way back.. and actually she called me for a favor the other morning and I gave her a ride to school. " At that point I was pissed because, their close enough to were she called him for help, he called her Mel, and he's on a date before I could even ask her on one.. not that I was actually gonna ask her or anything.
" Wait you guys didn't know they were friends??? " Thrisha asked.
" No.. " We all said in reply. " Well, I did.. " Jack added on.
" Why didn't you tell me?? " I asked furiously.
" Because their just friends chill. Didn't think it would be that much of a big deal. " Jack said and I realized I was acting a little bit to over protective.
" Mel said she didn't have any friends. I'm just confused. " I said shrugging my shoulders.
" We were friends before the Xavier situation.. and when we saw each other last night, we talked.. and decided to go to the movies with Jack and Thrisha. You caught up? Now if the interigation's over we could actually go see the movie. " Shawn said in a smart tone.
They had came to see The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and we came to see the same thing so we all ended up in the same row seeing the movie. Thrisha and sat next to each other, her head on his shoulder, Nash was on the other side of Thrisha. Lexi sat on the other side of Jack and next to Matt, they held hands. Cameron on the other side of Matt, and I sat on the other side of Cam. I was also stuck sitting next to Shawn and on the other side of him was Melanie.
Confusion. It was all that happened all that I could think about.
Right now after all that happened I was confusing myself. Last night it was different, a good different. Today she's here with Shawn.. does she like him? Are they more than friends? Is all that ran through my mind the whole time. The question that seemed to occur the most was do I like her? Because I was starting to want her to like me.
