Back At College (Noah's POV)

When I arrived back at Harvard, I knew there was still another hour of football practice, so I decided that I would go down to the field and surprise my friends. I quickly went back to my dorm, dumped my stuff, and put on some sweat pants and a hoodie. When I arrived at the field the boys were running laps so I silently approached and stood next to Coach Henderson and watched them,  realising that I haven't done a single workout the whole time I was gone -unless you count messing about in the pool with Lee- and I was gone for three weeks!
"Man, I'm gonna be so outta shape." I muttered.
"Noah Flynn, so you decided to turn up to one of my practices then, did you? I want an answer as to why you have not been here." He said before blowing the whistle and signalling all the boys to come over.
"It was personal problems, Coach." I replied.
"I need more of an excuse than that." He demanded. By this point the whole team was around us and I wasn't ready to tell everyone.
"Can I tell you in private after practice?" It was more of a statement that a question.
"Whatever you can say to me you can say to the whole team as they deserve to know why you have been done for so long as well." Said Coach sternly.
"Yeah, come on, tell us Flynn." one of the guys from the team shouted. Ugh I'm gonna have to tell them.
"So y'all know I have a girlfriend back home, Elle," I started to explain earning a "yeah" from everyone.
"Well... She's pregnant." I muttered.
"What?!" said coach.
"My girlfriend is pregnant so I went home to see how she is and help her tell our families." I snapped back hating the fact I just had to justify myself in front of everyone -I thought personal problems were ment to be kept between who it involves and who you decide to tell. The guys were all confused.
“So you knocked up some slut and decided to spend time off of practice? Dude you could have just left her to raise it on her own.” One guy, I think his name is Clyde, states.

“What did you just say?” I ask, glaring at him with my worst glare possible. Clyde looks down. “What did you just say?!” I yell. He repeats his words as a mutter. I pounce on him, punching the living hell out of him. I keep punching until Dylan, another one of the boys, peels me off of an unconscious Clyde.
"Anyone else got something to say about my girlfriend?" I ask, although it's more of a rhetorical question. I hear a bunch of muttered "no"s.
"Good." I say as I storm of the pitch and back to my dorm. "So glad my team mates have my back." I think.
My room mate, Jamie, bursts into the room.
"I'm sorry about what happened on the pitch man." he says.
Jamie was the only one I told about the baby before I left.
"It's not your fault that they're all dick heads. Like who knew Clyde would act like that? I thought as team mates we were all ment to have each others backs!" I complain.
"I know right!"
"I should probably talk to Elle soon."
"Yeah, how is she?" He say with genuine curiosity.
"She's good. She's gone back to school. If you want I could give her a call and we can both talk to her." I say.
"Yeah that sounds cool." he replies.
